Stupid or maybe not so stupid question.
If hashes are scanned created in advance, what happens if the files where edited on the client?

Can you provide a screenshot, because I don't really know what field you mean.
Probably you clicked on multi-player on the launcher.
just restart the launcher each time you switch from one mode to another
I was wondering if people actually have read my warning:
Crossfire - Upcoming changes, upcoming content
now I know it.
If you do exactly what you have suggested you are risking being banned.
In MP there currently are plugins missing. Those were removed because they have caused troubles with the anticheat. They control certain features and bugfixes and currently are only active on the SP version due to the anticheat issue which still needs to be fixed.
The only reason you can launch SP and carry over the plugin to MP is due to a bug in the launcher that I discovered a few months ago. There is a new launcher being worked on but until it is ready to be released we have to live with the currently bugged one and make sure that the launcher is always restarted when switching from SP to MP or from MP to SP. IF not the anticheat will detect the plugins being active and will issue a ban.
That is possible, yes.
Let me carefully state it like this.
I am not going to install other mods to copy/paste stuff to crossfire. I dont have the time for that. I dont really want to do that in general.
Vague hints at what others do are not going to help at all.
If you want something specific then make a specific suggestion. If it fits into CF then I will consider it.
Regarding daily missions/content etc.
We are a bit limited by what the FL engine actually can do.
The nomad planet killer event and in combination with that the Black Star fleet event (which both are planned) are meant to be weekly content. There are technical difficulties, not in terms of running these schedules events (even daily events would be possible) but at the persistence of the rewards. It is not as simple as adding the reward to your char by looting (like we tried during our first test). Problem was give players equal chance to get rewards and also prevent that the reward is lost.
The nomad planet killer event dropped special loot but most people simply did not get any because they were killed before they had a chance to collect the stuff. Other had the chance to collect loot and then died which made them respawn at Earth (with their inventory reset to what it was when they launched last time).
Not the daily/weekly event is the problem (during tests which worked perfectly fine). It is the reward system which makes it difficult.
I wish I had an easy solution but I dont.
Furthermore it need to be said that if dailies require activities which are not covered by the original game then we would need a coder to write plugins. I am not able to do such kind of work.
The inside of Murmansk... yes... out of pure curiosity I months ago started to work on a tileset for a cave system. It is far from complete and it certainly will not be included in the next update. There are plenty of open questions regarding this... like "whats the purpose" or "how to access it". Right now it only exists at unfinished assets in my library along with well over 100 other unused assets waiting to find their way into CF some day.
Could be a general connection issue with the server. Dunno.
Coalition cap ships for players will be introduced... but at a later point.
I already have created new cockpits for them, etc. but for balancing reasons I would want to do that later. Too much at once will only cause troubles. Maybe I will do it right after that next update. Maybe I can squeze it into the upcoming update when I for some reason make better progress than expected... dunno yet.
Are there any specific wishes for content in Coalition space?
I am asking because I am planning the layout of the systems and have a bunch of ideas that would make the systems more special. However, the systems are big and there is plenty of room for special content.
Stuff I already have started to work on are multiple race tracks (partly through hazardous areas), combat zones between coalition and coalition rouges, some environmental protection for coalition rouges bases, a scrapyard, potentially a region with gravimetric anomalies, some construction sites.
Further ideas are welcome.
Dunno. I've no experience with Linux

In my experience, the main reason for the bans was an unsuccessful update, in particular, when trading a file with old product prices, it was most likely the reason for the crashes and then the ban. There may have been other reasons, but I definitely noticed this one a few times, including when chatting with other players.
There certainly is a problem with the update. I discovered an issue a few weeks ago during some tests.
If that is the only reason for the troubles on the server is currently unknown. Upcoming tests might be more conclusive but it is save to say that the launcher and anticheat used to be running perfectly fine years ago, but with all the updates done in the past years unexpected error sources were introduced (e.g. the difference between Singleplayer mode and Multiplayer has increased and switching between the modes back then did not have any noticable conflict while today it is a different story).
On top of that is that we actually do not really know the code of the anticheat (it never was published for security reasons), therefore it's a fair amount of guesswork and testing.
I took a short break from working in general (modding included). 2025 was extremely stessful (pretty much non-stop work) and i needed a break.
There are plenty of ideas and plans for the upcoming updates and I intend to continue the work somewhen next week.
Generally I have in mind to release the 2nd part of the Coaltion update next and maybe a test environment for the Black star update (not 100% sure how I am going to distribute it yet).
I probably will have an access restricted release for testing purposes and will share content step by step when its ready.
There have been noticable issues with the server anticheat and the launcher in 2025. I will also try to figure out whats wrong with that. It is pretty hard to figure out why stuff happens on the server and why players get kicked/banned for unknown reasons. I basically will try to clone the server to a test environment where I can test various scenarios without interupting the original server. This probably will also help me to make changes much faster without the risk of messing up stuff for regular players. I hope that I can sort this stuff out by the end of this month.
There has been some feedback regarding rebalancing specific ships recently. These changes will roll out with the Coalition (part 2) update.
Hmm, what else... System rent system will reset later this week. (one system was already paid by accident last year -> going to consider this of course).
Happy new year. All the best wishes for 2026
Not bad
