That's Funny |DP| denne, and awfully coincidental...That's exactly the character I wanted to use, the letter "o" with "^" Caret symbol above it- Are you physic?
-
Thankx all I'll just use my native language chars "American - English", it seems to much less of a hassle.
-
I've seen some players with superscript characters in their names on the sever, I was wondering if anyone knows how or even if I it's possible to use special chars in your name on server chars.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about: â ê î ô û Â Ê Î Ô Û
I tried ALT keys with number codes and none of that worked.

I ban Mike for banning me on -That's all I've got- and Yes at the time I was laughing to hard to ban for anything else, but I'll ad your also banned for banning Ajay on his ship agendas...perhaps your just jealous.
-
Looks Really good, as always I'm more than happy to help keep things running so you definitely still have my Coin.
-
I ban both of you for making me laugh so hard at your ban bantering, get your ships straight Ajay or I'll ban your for that as well...lol.
-
I ban Ajay, Mike, & Night-Hunter for being the three who I've seen ban the most...but mainly Ajay for banning me on my comment to people still playing "The Your Banned Game", what do you think this is Ajay? - You 're Banned!

thanks again all,
denne I actually considerd using a VM for any compatibility issues within Linux, but after reading Michael's post I think I'll go with Windows 8.
I didn't know you could turn off that touch interface, that makes me a lot happier camper.
just the same denne there's no reason I can't use Linux & Windows 8.

WoW! Thanx all for the responses, after reading the issues Nhull was having I'll look for a smoother transition. Maybe give Windows 8 a try and see how a Non-Touch screen setup works out, if I'm going to fork out anymore cash to Microsoft I'm upgrading, not paying for the same system I've bought twice already.
Thank you for your valued input, and I'll just make Linux a side project for now.

I love the Snowman Teeth...LMAO...and a Very Merry Christmas indeed!

I wasn't looking towards Windows 8 due to the touch screen aspect of it, that just doesn't seem practical to me as a PC gamer. I have heard of people using it who don't have a touch screen so if you are one of those ppl and it works great for you I may consider that.
As far as patching goes, after some sort of update Windows 7 is telling me my Installation is not valid and may be counterfeit software, I've done every thing under the sky from DOS Fixes, Windows Support, & Pirated Patches, Fresh Installs etc. and the stupid window keeps popping up to the point it literally kicks me out of games to the desktop just to display.
I've gone through a two months of this torcher and I'm feed up with it to no end. I refuse to spend another dollar for a new Key when the two I've bought in the past year is all I care to spend for Windows 7 again.
As far as Ubuntu goes I know there are going to be rough roads ahead, and as far as working with Linux I'm a fast learner when it comes to languages, my major is Computer Programming so I welcome the challenge.
Thanx for the utrack lead , and I will look closer at Windows 8 before making this leap to see if I can find more insight then I found last time I looked. Originally I saw Touch Screen and left.

For some time now I've been looking to convert to Ubuntu Linux for my operating system and leave Windows 7.
Don't get me wrong I like Win 7 it's a great Op system, but Ubuntu has caught my eye and I'm wanting to give it a Go!
My question to Any and All is - does Freelancer Crossfire work in a Linux environment, has anyone tried this or is using it now. I'd like some input before I make this change and although I know there are to be some issues a foot, somethings I'm not willing to live without...

I Ban everyone including myself for still posting on The ''You`re Banned'' Game!
Keep On Banning!

6.5 Million - Wow!
I played several Space Sims myself and as you can see in my profile which ones and why, I even recently (3 months ago or so) played Star Trek Online I loved the Romulan Campain and must admit it was losts of fun....Until I found out that the only way to get ahead in that game is to buy Zen or whatever it's called with your Real money. Of course I read about third party sites that you have to complete free tasks that MIGHT get you some, but definitely will get you Spammed.
If I have to give money I choose to give it to this great sever "SWAT-Patrol Freelance CrXssfire", and keep this great server going - Not swing off or on the Chris Roberts Hyped Ban Wagon.
Maybe it will turn out to be a really cool kick ass platform, maybe not - Time will tell as has been said before, but Freelancer is free and making money in Freelancer is free as well - This is why I put Star Trek Online to rest, others my love it and don't mind paying to support it (More Power to them), but you can count me out on this one until the release date...I'll wait till then to see what happens.

Welcome Caligola, and see you in space.

This all sounds great and can hardly wait, but I would like to make a comment on what SA - Zhe Boss stated.
I am a Smuggler as you all know :-), and I do understand the importance of defending your system and improving you PvP skills to do so...But my sole role is as a Smuggler therefore I spend most of my time doing just that.
I see Pirates that spend countless hours in Arena PvPing and therefore are far better at killing than I, for me to even come close to their level of skill I would have to move away from my main RP just to get good enough to combat them.Getting points for killing Clan member's to get their secondary etc. system seems like a bad idea, since even in 1.9 we have had countless numbers of Pirates setup shop in our home system and refuse to leave attacking us day in and day out, to the point that we would essentially just ignore them until they lost interest.
On the other hand anyone, even pirates can trade and therefore I think this can remain the major source of system points in this scenario.
