And as you might know Chris Roborts is superior, without him the space sim genre will be or would already have be dead. So no matter what he will make. Its better than everything else and all other server of every other space sim game will be empty - so good this new game will be. There is no doubt. Not a single one.
where is the ironic button?
I think you find it was David Braben and Ian Bell, that started the whole Space Sim genre off,
With Elite and Frontier:Elite 2.
To even suggest that Space Sims by Roberts kept the genre going, is clearly criminal.
I got fed up with the dam cockpits of WC, seems to me all he wanted was a great looking cockpit for
his ship design, I prefer what Freelancer/Crossfire offers.
Star Citizen is just another WC clone, and to add insult to injury, he put some Freelancer in it, but
its STILL Wing Commander at its core. So no big shock to me there, he is sooo linear.
Freelancer as it is, is still imo the best format for a space sim i have EVER played, loads of room for expansion,
New storylines, quests, systems, all can be done relatively easy.
Also with a new game engine, who knows its potential.
I think Roberts has given up way too fast on the Freelancer Legacy that is.
You just need an imagination and a flair for all thing Sci Fi.
Things that spring to mind.
1. More sleeper ships discovered =new systems
2. Coalition join ranks with Liberty or Nomads
3. Ancients are found to be still alive and need our help
4. Earth is again under attack by an Alien force
5. Be able to terraform a planet that can sustain life.
Just a few to mention, i have loads.
And I know you was being Ironic/sarcastic Huor.
Roberts was too quick to have given up on Freelancer, it can be STILL huge, and all he can do
is make another WC version, because thats what Star Citizen really is, is it??
