Client crashed to Desktop moment after bought first ship at launch of fresh adventure
Latest patch in use. Had configured a lot of settings before that so hope they were saved for the next time when open client
Question / feedback: The default ui background colour when not flying is way too shiny & therefore no good for the eyes. Is it possible to change that ? Second question: Is there a way to enhance graphics for orig. content's cutscenes ? I was remembering that Crossfire 2.0 would've done that.
I'll happily send few € as thanks for giving us beauty modded adventure. That's once i get the game client working as normal. Some of my Rig details: Win10 Home, x64. Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1660 6gb Phoenix. Dedicated video memory: 6144 MB GDDR5. DX12. Freelancer CF2.0 installed to Sabrent Rocket Q 2TB M.2 drive with 835gb free space. Write me if If need & can send some log files to help see what caused the crash. Wish good rest of the year to modders, Freelancer & Crossfire fans
Pst: Everyone remember to send message to Microsoft & Chris Roberts about allowing Freelancer to go into GoG & Steam.

Well, all cutscenes use the new graphics... which kinda confuses me a bit since you should have noticed it in the very first one prior even getting to the point where you can buy a ship.
If it did not look like new graphics until that point then something must have gone wrong with your installation (and potentially also caused the crash).
I am not entirely sure about the buying a ship part. The storyline is still required to get a starflyer from juni first. If you did not get this one first it might also lead to issues.
But that is only a guess.

SWAT_OP-R8R Thanks for noticing & reply. Good to know that my distant memory about CF Mod to enhance Freelaner's cutscene gfx was correct. Always knew that flight-time's background got that treatment, but didn't recall if cutscenes as well. Yes indeed when i launched the Mod for first time the cgi clip was normal i guess, but after that, cutscenes with in game graphics are from old days. Yeah about "owning the ship when adventures begin at orig. campaign" <-- I had that memory that you should get one for free from the lady (Juni) who you met at cutscene. Interface kept saying that 'i have no ship' so after configured settings i went to buy the Rhino from 3x available ships. Not sure if i would've been even able to login if had done something wrong at install phase.
Then again i'm not a coder so stop there. I think i have orig. campaign's save or two saved on my mediafire file save site so gonna add them to right folder once get Crossfire 2.0 to work without bugs. Latest save is maybe 60% through so excited to finish it & launch relaxed pace advs. in CF2.0 content. Means that not always following main objective just like did decade ago in orig. campaign. Question: Is there a way to check if installation phase went correctly & if went badly, are the install instructions in CF 2.0's Moddb page ? I have FLMM 1.5 beta1. Mentioned for no reason as it's not needed anymore with CF2.0 installer. Thanks o/
UPDATE: Now remembered that i added Freelancer's official patch before installed CF2.0. Maybe that is the reason for no ship at start & then crash when buy one. -
Before install crossfire is needed unpatched vanilla freelancer installation.
And you must get free ship from Juni, game will crash if you try buy own one at starting location.
Maybe is good to check if launcher do not have in settings checked ‘Open SP’ which is setting for disabling single player campaign.

I installed it the day after & gave it a go with success
During the first install before wrote ticket here, i bought the ship because i literally had none in use. Not even the one that Juni gives you after the cgi intro & first gameplay graphics cutscene. Wrote about this earlier
Was weird glitch & maybe linked to above mentioned crash. Atm. suffering a bit of after effects from couple days of fever'ish shivery dazy feeling. Don't have all basic 'nature provides home remedies' available now.
New ones can buy for early next week & to fill up storage for winter. Hope this passes with powah from blackcurrants & garlic on hot ginger Tea. Good rest of sept. & october about to launch to Staff o/ *Case Solved then, not lil earlier when someone marked it too early.
