Server seems to crash more often recently...

    i don't know but lately the server has been crashing without warning...like right now when i just started the day...there were no yellow nor red lag warning. it just flat out crashed. this happened yesterday 3 times in a row and i gave up on it.


    i really really wonder what is going on. i mean new players are joining but with this constant crashing..it might draw them away. this better not be the work of a noob crashing it. or lagging the hell out of it, like one of the MN members yesterday.

    I forgot to install the patch the first time I logged on today, but I must say it was worth one crash at least to see this...

    When I launched from Earth there was a Dom'Kavash Dromedary that flew like a possessed starflier. Lol, it couldn't shoot, refused to die, and when I landed and tried to take back off I got kicked. I'm pretty sure that it was supposed to be a gunboat, but it just goes to show how screwed up things get if you don't have the patch. Figures :P


    The link to the new patch is easy to find, but maybe it should be stickied so newbies don't have trouble learning how to get it. xD

    the server does crash because of the new players...
    right now im thinking about re-uploading the 1.7 mod to LR but this time containing the patch


    dunno if this could cause problems coz i heard that the patch doesnt always work

    OP, or you can make it like this: update the mod so it says that its 1.71 !!!!! i know that there might be few other mods with same version ... but ... who cares .. CF is CF and need the space to evolve


    so that only the ones using the patch could be able to login ...

    ... and then those using 1.71 mods would crash it... no thx
    better solution is to integrate 1.7a into the normal CFserver.exe that is available at LR


    and replace the 1.7a patch there with the 1.7 files
    (so basically we turn around everything)


    i already uploaded the new setup files to LR but wont replace the old ones until the new files are tested


    which means i need some1 with fast connection who usually needs the 1.7a patch to play
    this guy will have to download the new files and test them
