    i play on the crossfire mod, but just the other day my whole D drive got corrupted and i lost my install of freelancer and the .txt document holding my key thingo, im just wondering if any of the admins could help me recover it as i dont want to start over.

    I took an empty notebook and called it: ''Laser`s Freelancer Notes'' It includes: All my FLID`s, Websites, Kills (yes, i have written down every kill of mine), Trade Calculations etc. And i allways keep it next to my PC. If i`ll need to know anything - i have all the info withing the lenght of my arm.

    Assumption is the mother of all fuckups.


    Being a Cynic isn't that bad. Either I'm right or I am pleasantly surprised.

    If just the drive is fucked up and windows instalation (windows os that you are using) should still keep the ID in the register.


    Go to Start Menu -> Run, type regedit


    Then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Freelancer


    One of the regs there keep the ID

    every1 who is stupid enough to loose an ID even if it is announced every 15mins on the server to write it down doesnt really deserve that the chars are moved



    and i said it once and will say it again ... im not there to fix other ppls stupidity... im not responsible for IDs... they are client side
    and for sure i dont have the time to sort out chars

    the problem is that it's our only admin! (except XL_R8R)
