Mod will not activate...

  • Every time I try to activate the mod I get an error message at the end saying the mod could not be activated and it asks me to restore my backups.


    Heres the error message in my mod log:


    Error: problem activating 'Crossfire Mod 1.70 Client Edition'
    Error: SHCopyFile failed ('C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\Missions\M01A\m01a_01.thn.flmmbak' to 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\Data\Missions\M01A\m01a_01.thn')


    Is this a fixable problem?

  • reinstall the game and the mod and use flmm1.3. i had the same problem i activated it first time with flmm1.4 and didn't work so i used 1.3

  • ok, try this way:


    1. deactivate all mods in FLMM 1.31


    2. uninstall FLMM 1.31 including all mods


    3. Uninstal FL inc. all saved game data and screenshots


    4. re-install FLMM 1.31, click no when it asks you to locate freelancer.exe


    5. re-install CF 1.7, click no when it ask same question as above when install is complete.


    6. re-install freelancer.


    7. open FLMM, activate CF 1.7 (takes about 5 mins)


    8. click "launch freelancer" tab in FLMM.


    9. enjoy!! see you server side.


    WHEN YOU FIRST ENTER THE MAIN MENU PAGE DEACTIVATE 3-D SOUND IN OPTIONS. OR YOU MAY CRASH REPEATEDLY!


    this whole processs takes no more than about 20 mins.
