  • As of this moment, without any screens from Mitra, I have another 46 infocards to finish, including the new planets in Utopia (kudos to Inferno for the discovery!). This brings the total number of new/revised CF infocards to 101, 98 of which are original CF planets! :D Amazing work, OP!!

  • OP, could you please make official patch like you did with 1.57 version ?! this is driving me and us crazy. now DKA's look totaly different to me, some see the jump hole to Utopia, some not, .......

we could need either the update (5-10MB) or the mod+update (180MB) to download

  • What's driving you crazy? The fact that you have to browse all the way to the CF download page and download the 1.7a patch? Wow

  • no.
the fact that some have the patch, some dont - and its causing lag ... and i cant play normal (but ok , its holyday time, so my i-net provider is overfilled, lol).

  • the 1.7a update cant cause or fix any lag

  • You install Freelancer, then the mod. After that you install the official patch and then let the program download/patch the rest of the updates itself before you play. Keep in mind though that lag is in no way related to the mod itself. Your ping and packet loss are big factors. Don't run other programs, especially those hungry for your internet connection, to minimize it. Sometimes my lag is nonexistant, sometimes it's attrocious. It's the way of server gaming and it's really not at all possible to solve via modder intervention. :P

  • OK, all planetary infocards are now complete (unless there is a planet or two hiding in Scotia); I've sent them off to OP. 98 infocards for original CF planets, 6 for planets in original FL. I'm starting on system infocards for the universe map next week! CrossFire rocks! :D

  • It'll be nice to see those planet infocards polished up so nicely with the pending update. It will be cool to see unique descriptions for so many previously-unknown worlds and rationalizations for such anomalies as life on the 55K-wide Planet Murmansk. Great work Centaurian :D

  • 98 infocards - nice going!

Op, can i take over the old JTaks job of the CF database on the site? i got plenty time on ma hands

Blaster, have you done anything with this yet? Because I have a complete copy of the Databse I got from JtaK when he finished it last time. Since I need to reference the database for system infocards, I might as well update the database for the new systems, also.

If anyone sees inconsistencies in the database, please bring them to my attention, and I'll see what I can do to fix them. :)) Preliminary survey of system infocards indicates that 67 system cards need to be written or re-written, including 6 or 7 from original FL systems. 8o

  • There are 6 server clans which do not currently have clan logo billboards at the entrances to their systems: SL, TRF, H5N1, MW, MN and PHQ. I cannot promise anything, or speak for OP, but if you submit your clan logos to him, he might be able to put that signage into your home systems in the next update.

When you get your logos ready, send a copy to me as well, so if OP can't get to the signage in time, I can still put the logos in the new database, and the whole server will be able to see that your clan owns your home system. 8)

great idea .. i saw that also on some servers, when you open your NavMap and what to see, for example Texas system -> it doesnt says only Texas, it says "Killers Leeds" (clan owning the system and systems name)

this could also work i think :-)

  • Whoohoo! clanlogos
CA, I'll send the logo in a sec. :]
