  • Hello,

I started Freelancer Crossfire 5 minutes ago. As usual, the update followed (otherwise 42 now 150 files). When I try to start the game, I am now shown a field for a server setup that I cannot click away without being logged out of the login.

The problem is that I FL -

I have never played Crossfire using the multiplayer feature and have no intention of doing so.

  • Aloha,

These two fields are displayed when I start FreeLancer Crossfire. I've never played multiplayer before but after the last update

I had this on the screen when I started . I can't get past these things, I mean, if I click them away, I can't log in (as before).

  • Hello,

that's the problem. I never have and never intended to play multiplayer. After the last update I had these two multifields (I have no idea how else to express it) on the screen. If I clicked away, Freelancer Cross was/will also be closed. Do you have any idea how I can get rid of these things?

or at least deactivate it to be able to play again?

  • Still not a 100% sure i comprehend. If you want to play single player, then you also have to run freelancer.exe. This should start the CF launcher where you can decide whether to play single player or multi player. The flserver must not be started at all. still wondering why it starts on your end. Thats simply wrong. If you execute crossfire by a link then check the linkage.

  • And that's exactly the problem, I always start the game via the CF launcher. I always choose SP there. And that's exactly how it was this time, only this time after clicking on the SP button, the multiplayer fields appeared, like the ones shown in the desktop photo, and cannot be bypassed.

If I click it away, the usual SP registration is also over.

I know I'm taking up too much of your time, but I'm not tempted by any other help.

  • The issue is that the launcher actually does not even has access to the flserver.exe.

Why it would launch is beyond our knowledge... in theory it is impossible for this to happen (and it actually never happened before).

Probably best case would be to run the CF installer again and overwrite the existing installation or create a new one.

Only dead fish swim with the stream.
Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

  • Hello,

Thank you very much for your effort and time.

In my almost 64 years of life, I have come to the realization, based on experience, that there is nothing that doesn't exist.

Another compliment, you've done a lot with the original game.

    Thank you very much!
