Launcher crash

    Hello. First im sorry for my broken english.
    I instaled fresh freelancer on my harddrive, then i instal crossfire 2.0.1. , Everything was good. But when i launch Crossfire , Launcher updated 2 patches and then it closed it self. When i try to launch again , Launcher just didnt open . No error , nothing.
    I have instaled all c++
    I have win 10.
    Can someone help me ?;(

    have you tried to restart the PC?

    could in theory be a self update that fails because files in the mod folder are write protected

    right click the folder

    Go to properties

    Make sure that the write protection is not selected and apply this to all files in the folder when asked

    i did that and when i opened another folder example : DATA/COCKPITS all folders are write protected. There are a lot of folders .. if i need to do with all of them .. well that will take time.
    And im not even sure if that help :/

    doing it on the main folder will show a prompt to apply the settings to all files within the folder and its sub folders

    I know. I did that and even then all other folders are write protected. but even that didnt work. Launcher will just open and then will close it self sometimes even will not open. Im actualy sad beacause i cant find problem.

    If the files return to the write protected state then some program on your pc is causing it.

    Some AV tools or other security and cleanup tools are very restrictive.

    i have freelancer discovery mod and launcher work fine . its even update everything. But crossfire just doesnt work . I uninstaled programs that maybe can prevent to function with crossfire . still doesnt work ... im loosing my mind here. i even uninstaled antivirus.

    I generally would not recommend having two mods installed at the same time but that is due to incompatibilities with savegames. This very likely prevents the game from launching.

    But I guess that's a different problem from what you currently experience.

    I can only guess here. The launcher has been tested and worked well so far under every known windows version since windows 95.

    Well problem is this. How can i choose Shader if i cant even open launcher ? I will start launcher and he auto close off.
