yea I have sunslayer but I found an easier way if u go out to the open space after docking at gmg base if u find some ancients I fly back to the base by batting the ancients to get close enough to the base I can sit at the base and take them out good for when you can get over run if there are more than 4 at a time works for me every time I just killed 2 ancients just now with loads of pods on me.

Well, that also works assuming base doesn't steal your kills.
Also battleship yoyo can also work, but it requires being careful and lucky when you're in an asteroid field.
