Crossfire error on lanching Multiplayer or Single player.

    After installing a clean version of FL, installing a clean version of 1.31 FLMM and then installing the latest crossfire it then does an update of about 500+ files. Once this has completed, it then does an update of about 41 files. It then starts crossfire, starts and then crashes.

    Tried diffrent options as per the ? but no effect... run as admin or normal and also restarted PC. Any idea?


    Running Windows 10 Pro 64. (games in x86 as standard install)

    The only thing I have not done this time is not copyed the no CD crack exe. My DVD drives dont work with windows 10. I have the media...

    yes, multiple games seem to have problems after this update


    I am not 100% sure what the fix might be.

    One user suggested using a different kernelbase.dll... which fixed it.

    Hell no im not touching that.... Has anyone phones or emailed into MS tech support at all? I know some ex microsoft developers who might still have some contact but I recomend that the writers of the mod get to work on this and write/code up a fix with out modifying any of the OS base kernal dlls as these will get updates and can brake the OS or lead to security issues if tampered with.

    I was just at the end of the Freelancer story-line and then the Windows 10 Feature update 1809 happened. CF2 is a game I want to finish, but the "Feature update 1809" is blocking the launcher, so now I am downloading debugger tools to see whats going on in the dump file, I will be in touch if I find a solution. :rtfm:

    If I do not find a solution, then I'll just finish the CF2 story on an older OS. Thank goodness I backed up my saved games.:batman:

    Ive read that in one case updating the audio drivers has fixed the problem.


    some other players suggested to check if the nvidia control panel has DSR enabled (that might cause problems with the new windows)

    I was able to fix that issue by removing d3d11.dll at EXE folder

    ok, so we at least know that it is related to directx

    Vor paar tagen installiert auf win 10 -bin auf suche wo der fehler ist ? -ist mir gelungen 1-mal Multi player und zwei mal single player zu spielen .Leider im game kommt Fehler in Anwendung -Freelancer.exe ..-"Unbekannter Softwarefehler" (0xc06d007e) ist in der Anwendung an der Stelle 0x000000007501C632 aufgetreten. So bald ich diese nachricht schließe wird gleichzeitig game abgebrochen .
