Well, by the same guys who made Stellaris, they released this game which focuses more on land based events than space, btu still directly related to space scifi.
PS: At 1:11 of that video, now THATs some chair I don't want to fall off from xD

its a lot like Planetbase
True, similar, I planed planetbase but it looked a lot simpler with just modules, mostly domes, and limited spots in each module just for furniture, while this new one looks like it has a lot of variety in sizes, shapes and will see what limitations are for inside domes building (as it has entire cities inside a dome), whenever I get to try it out.
This one also has a difficulty meter/level so there's some challenge other than oxygen and energy.
yeah will give it a try
but dont underestimate the difficulty of planetbase
when colonies get big and you lack just one type of resource or the people are unhappy then everything collapses and you have no real possibilities to do something against it.
its a chain reaction
unhappy people -> less work done -> no resources produced -> even more unhappy people -> no work done at all -> storage rooms get empty and modules do not get repaired -> people die -> end of your colony
The game is very unforgiving.
I'd call that realistic, to our selfdestructive nature.
