English Language

I agree, and with a language as unusual and filled with exceptions as this one, it's especially impressive. Kudos to all you people speaking my native tongue as a second or perhaps even third language I know a tiny bit of a few languages, but would never be able to speak or type with the grammar and spelling precision that you all do

Yup, i like english, it is easy to understand and it doesn't have much grammar rules. I encourage the peeps that are learning it now, because perhaps most of you have a chance that i didn't, to learn english at a language school. Back then i didn't had money to afford english lessons, so i learned it using three things: Interpretation, dictionary and subtitled movies and games.

I also like to use english because i am weary of the way the brazilian youth destroy our native language in Msn and alikes by using horrible slangs and eating tons of vowels. They destroy it soo much that when i speak with then using formal portuguese they call me a freak.

But one thing i like to throw in their faces, they all try to cheat from me in the grammar exams

English is a highly irregular language and is probably hard to learn. Luckily we do not have noun genders though, me fastidian mucho.

well, but i would say that english is one of the easiest languages on the world...German is much harder.
I speak a bit French, too. But i dun like their language it sounds so... nvm

Well, I'd have to disagree, English is indeed harder then it looks. I personaly dislike German very much (just he language, no offense ), but maybe because I've only been doing that for only 3 years and not everyday or anything. I've been learning English since I was 5 in all kind of ways (I got my first pc back then :] ).
You all get bombed to death with American and sadly alot of people think that IS English, but English has much more to it then American, I can tell you that. Unfortunatly, I can't give a n example at the moment and no, I'm not refering to American slang, 'cause England has the too.
And yes, basic grammar rules might not be so much, but al exceptions they make all the time and other little thingies make it an almost impossible language to learn if you don't start soon.
So yes, I do want to give an applause to people here learning English.

Nope, didn`t said that. I said that english grammar rules are pretty much simplier than that of the other languages. That`s why is soo much used all around the globe.

In Japan, everyone is taught english. Its funny because we pretend not to know english to force tourists to learn and speak Japanese.

U know the average number of sounds in the most spoken languages in the world stays around 25-30 sounds. There are languages in Africa that haves over 100 sounds. Including clicks.

That's why I don't like teamspeak servers. A lot of players have enough troubles getting their English written correctly, but when you have to listen to them, it is very demanding. When you type something, you have time to think about it, double check it if you want. But when you speak you cannot. Add to that everyones personal accent, and there you have the reason why I don't like teamspeak servers.

And yes, I have tried it, but even with Dutch players it is difficult to understand some.
