Not no more it isn't DS......it's been canned and the Lagg may be next.

I like the words for the brick I stick to shroud - i only sorry that now i cant mount CD on torpedo slot as before. For guns - 2x Tizona + 4x Diamondback MKII.

If you use DB2s u may as well use coalition collapsers same rate of fire mucho damage

If you like the fighter role then go for the high speed ones like the shroud. Me, I use the shooting star because 4x Nemisis Missles + 2x Sunslayers + CD = Big Kaboom Great for bombers.

Check this out,......I play use old Ship,...the titan. Upgreat MK V,.. and kick some outcast with his new and advances ship..... WORK PERFECTLY...HAHAHAHHAHA.

Try to find " ENEMY 2 LEVEL HEAD U " Fox Blade,.. THEN U WILL FEEL DIFFRENT.

Fox Blade thats a nice idea buy dont try that in pvp.

with 4x nems that gives you 13 shots max if they are linked and any good pilot with cd's will make you inafective.

I like both the Eagle and the Titan quite a bit, I had a hard time finding a new CF ship to replace either of them.

Then I found the Gunstar. Call me nuts, but I love this ship! For starters, it looks damn good. It "belongs" in Freelancer.

I found a few others I liked: for instance the Scourge, which seemed to have a smooth, quick turn radius and decent all-around performance.

But I have been sticking with the Gunstar. Fair agility, good armor, excellent gun coverage and grouping, decent cargo space and nanobot/battery capacity. (But if you're looking for six class-10 hardpoints, extreme agility, or a huge cargo space, look elsewhere.)

Mostly, it just looks damned tough, with its wide fins, excellent skin texturing, and streamlined fighter-jet appearance when viewed from the trailing camera; not to mention the greenish-yellow engine output, which I find easy on the eyes. Also, the cruise engines put on a good show when winding up, and have that hard metallic whine I like, as opposed to the softer cruising sound effect I noticed on many others.

I just cannot stand flying an ugly, clumsy-looking, or uninteresting ship, no matter how good it performs.

Most of the VHF's have decent overall performance, from my experience, and have strengths and weaknesses. Like someone said, it's a question of what you're after. But hey, wtf do I know?! I'm just your typical newbie, flying around shooting at stuff.

Hmmm...the ultimate fighter that isn't bugged at the moment... Well, you almost said it already Astatic; any VHF in this game with a good pilot is more or less unstoppable. The key to finding the best ship for you in a mod as balanced as this one is to find something that appeals to your eye and PvP tastes. There's more than 50 options if I'm not mistaken, so get out there and start browsing! :]

Use Humpack Freigther,... and attack 3-4 eagle,...hahaha They are dead / finish / destroy / be gone etc. ( My Old long road in the galaxy / from original Freelancer CD )

well, my best VHF ship is "Tempest"

that ship has EVERYTHIGn what a good fighter needs: 4* lvl10 ans 2* lvl9 wepons, 13000 hull, 63 nanos, good manuverability and 1 torpedo + 1 disruptor.

and i love it. i heard "Malice" has a little bit better magility buti didnt tried it out.

My favorit shi The TITAN. Short but had massive power. Can do 125 manuver and had strong hull.

If we can add shield upgade till MK xvviii , Armor upgrade xvii, and reduce weight till iii ( cuase this ship are not to heavy ),... that he will be " a killing VHF ". Most danger VHF in this mod.

I am flying the Hydra MK III , armed with cannons from Earth (you know the ones with the range of 1500). The Hydra is a bit lame but has good armor , so it makes up fo it. And 6 klass 10 guns are OK.
By the way , the "RAVANS CLAW" disapointed me veru much.
(Must be someone does not like it !! ). I allmost bought it , but it's too weak. Pitty!

The VHFs tend to be rather balanced. Some are nicely-rounded off, and the ones with exceptional abilities in one or two areas will be lacking in others. I would have to say that the Kossac is the only VHF that clearly has an edge over the rest of the pack, but as it's banned atm the best VHF for a person is simply the one he or she decides to fly

kossack of corse .. is simple best chooice .. is fast and agile like lf .. heavy armored like shroud . good generators like .. hmm atomic [plant ?? lol and got BIIG fire power try 2 ppc and 4 coal gatlings .. is .. hmm.. i never like this mk wepons they are slow short range and eat energy to much .. if u r good pilot ship without ppc/gatlings dont eaven scratch u ..
and of corse torps .. is no beautest look like torp shoot on from on enemy .. u death .. maybe but he die for shure ( if u take down his shields before ) caution use this on your own risk . i train this much time in sp to know when i can lunch torp to hit for shure and enemy got no time to react ( eaven dont cd my torp - is for pcforce and drakon lol )
