    BG = military
    CFPD = police
    LP = pirates
    Fallen = smugglers / small time pirate
    PiA = smugglers / para-military mercs
    DC = mercs
    IOC = traders
    DaD = military(?)
    UAC = traders / mercs

    just as a correction note, due to recent recruitments, UAC is no longer trader/merc corporation. We are now divided into main corporation, the UAC, and a new sub-corp, the UMC (Union Marine Corporation). The later one is organized to act as an police force to the Freelancers.
