There will a lot of things to test in the 1.6 update 88 new ships to start with so i was thinking maybe if we can post exactly what ships and equipment we have tested and how it was tested so we dont duplicate completed tests and are more efficient

probably alot to ask but maybe OP will ask us each to do specific tasks.
-
Perhaps he will ask Cryton to stand on his head, ive seen him do it, hes pretty good at it.

So does anyone have any requests? I don't care what I test in 1.6 as long as I'm testing. 88 ships is a lot more than it sounds, and there's new bases, factions, and systems to get a go at. I think it's a great idea to break up this monumental task into managable pieces. Anyone care to take a swing at it? If you want, I'll check bugs that I've noticed in 1.57, I've found 6 or 7. They're minor, mind you, but worth looking at. (For instance, have you ever gone into a PvP with 80 Dual Mines?)
(Btw, the secret of spamming is to know where to do it. You won't get flamed if you avoid serious threads

Well, i am not sure how OP set things up but I was thinking that there would be 2 or 3 new ships per planet in a system therefore it should not be too difficult to test out the new ships. Just go from planet to planet. (although ya better ask OP for a lot of cash beforehand) Pick up a ship take it out, come back try out the other two then use the last one to fly to the next planet and do the same thing.
Getting from one system to the next using jump gates or jump holes is what i think would be interesting. Some of those are out there, especially in SOL.
(actually the secret to a little harmless fun is not having a J*** a** cousin)

precisely my point. If the testers are running around running the trains then it will take a lot longer to test all the other pertinent information.
As i say though, i have no idea how OP has it set up. He may not have prices on for the testers, i just dont know.
I do know that all of you testers better hurry and get that thing tested, i logged on tonight and almost went into spasms cause CF would not come up to log into.

My understanding is this:
1. There will be expensive new ships to test
2. There will be dangerous new NPCs that will require #1 to survive.
3. There will be new systems. Both the new and old systems may contain #2.
4. #3 needs to be explored.
5. Finding new bases in #3 may or may not require #6.
6. New equipment will have to be bought, making each of the above easier and/or obligatory. In summary, won't most of the mod's new features demand 7 to 9-digit sums of credits? If we're going to avoid trains, then perhaps we should just start out with full coffers to maximize our testing time. Maybe I'm overestimating the NPCs, but I don't think an Eagle will cut it when the wallet's feeling light.

i will not tell you how to test the mod... there is a list with new features and there is a list with changes in 1.6... and that needs to be tested
who takes which part is not my decision... mainly because i wont have the time coz i will have to work on the server... read the serverlogs... the errorlogs... fix possible bugs... update the cf-page and many other things
-
Not to worry OP. As i say, i am just speculating here.
We know you will be extremely busy with the server stuff.
Good luck and waiting patiently till server is back

I'll test to the fullest extent of my testing abilities. (btw, 750th post. The good news: I'm that much closer to running out of things to say.
