Wooow...3 years, I only has been here for almost 5 month and it became a home already for

me. therefore, I just want to say:

I guess three years online IS getting "long in the tooth"! I've been looking for

something like this my whole life! When the student is ready the teacher appears, so I

guess it's taken me a long time to get ready for this. In any case CrossFire ROCKS!! May

SWAT is not a clan... its a clanportal ... but yes ehmm BG is the 2nd

oldest FL clan and its also 3 years now

well ok i asked wavey to post this

announcement coz i wanted to use my time to work on cf.... but now i took a little break to

write a little bit

SWAT - the Special War Avenging Team
created out of the

need to create a community and to destroy those (GTF) that have declared war on a bunch of

elite SL players
GTF is no more but SWAT remains as a community of very good players and

friends from different clans and also freelancers
We had very good times... we also had

bad times... but we made it to reach the actual point of time where SWAT is one of the

oldest and biggest Lancer communities out there.
Its a place for many peoples dreams

(including my dream to spread over to more games again like we did in the past), hope and

friendship.

3 years of SWAT... well what does that mean?
after the 1st year we

thought: "well ok we passed the first year... first step but no big deal"
after the 2nd

year we realized: "oh many of our old friends from other clans are gone but we survide...

there must be something special with this place"
and now after the 3rd year i can only

say "wow, we made it.... we are here... we are successful... we keep getting better... and

this is just the beginning of something real big"

Some of you will ask how SWAT did

develop over the years... what have we done?
Everything started with 2 SL players that

wanted to create a special place where people can play based on honour and fairplay.
We

had many clans in SWAT such as:
Ministers of Death (known as the most professional SL

clan)
BloodGuard (which was and still is very successful in FL)
Defenders of Aresden

(for the time being the most successful Helbreath guild)
Aresiens Inquisition (which was

born out of the DoA and continued the successful playing as best Helbreath guild at that

time)
Dragon Blades (a WoW guild which still exists outside of SWAT -> because it never

fitted to the Portal)
Army of Darkness (a Doom funclan)

but lets look at the

current situation of SWAT:
we have 2 clans (BG + MoD)which are full members of the Portal

we have 3 additional serverclans (DC, R39, PiA) which are independent from SWAT but

still a part of it
we have 3 finished mod projects and 3 other mods in development
we

have a growing modding team
and we have a growing community with more than 1700

members

when i look back at what has been done... and what we reached i have to

say "it was a hard way but it was worth it"
I hope... no i wish that in future more

members of this community can put their talents together to create more clans and integrate

more games into this community.

i have only

been here for about 1 1/2 months and this is the best gamming community i have ever seen:) i

have met many good ppl here and made many good friends.
