Fenwick and nitro appear to be the latest culprits the home page

should really be updated.

the download is already updated and you can only enter the server with CF

1.54

but ppl just did shit with their CF when they overwrote CF1.55 with

CF1.54
THAT DOES NOT WORK

Get rid of all CF files on your HDD... including those

files in your FLMM folder
delete them all
then get CF1.53 and install it and then

install the update to CF1.54

NOTHING ELSE WILL WORK!!!!

hmy son is fenwick useing 1.54 i

havent done loaded 1.55 yet

he was already on line playing before it

started to crash
had to stop to do home work
it crashes now when he tries to rejoin

nothings changed this end

Also bg_daydream crashed it.

You should deactivate de mod, delete it, open cf

1.53 mod, open cf 1.54 upgrade, then activate de mod.

Going backwards is ussually a

messy thing so just overwrite is not the best choice.

i will uninstall all frelancer files and the main programe
but how can i

save my sons files
so he keeps his ships and players
if we cant then we start

all over again

go to the start menu on

windows then programs and then microsoft games-freelancer and there is an option called

examine my account ID write this down or print it and keep it safe then after you have

reinstalled everything the first time you run crossfire you will get an option to change the

ID type in the one you wrote down/printed and all you chars will still be there

excuse double post BIG thanks to whoever crashed the server this time because NO CF all

nite now i guess because i cant restart it for reasons i know not and no one else is around

to do it and if this keeps up i can see op actually closing the server until he has finished

version as soon as possible

already created 380kb new code which should fix the

problems... i was able to speed up the coding by a script helping me with the path

calculation
I already working on the fix in my free time (including nights)
in 1-2

days i will release a new version (which hopefully will fix this crashs)

I agree with Gunny OP.

Take you time so it wont be any more crashes.
Like Gunny said, we are dedicated players

to CF and we'll wait until the server is ready.

Ok i have restarted the server 10 times in

30 mins I am unwilling to keep restarting it at this rate in case it causes further problems

and also in my view this is no longer accidental it is becoming deliberate

interference in the running of servers, by using bugs to crash them or exploits is a very

serious offence and we will not hesitate to ban you from our servers.

Using

modifications on the server causes severe performance degradation, sometimes causing it to

crash. As a result we have a zero tolerance policy on all modification usage. Please ensure

you have no mods running when you attempt to connect to the server. The only Mod permitted

on our servers is Crossfire 1.55.

(pls note that this rule says crossfire 1.55 so I

interpret this as the current mod admin states is running on the server)

So if this

continues i will ban ppl i think are causing the crashes all banned players details will be

passed on to the admin for review and further investigation the ban is only intended to stop

these crashes not to persecute people

I have uncorrupted versions of both 1.53 and

the 1.54 update if you have concerns about the mod you are using contact me and i will be

happy to supply them to you

how come people keep talkin about how they

are getting on the server...i dont get ping or anything....i havent logged on in like almost

a week.... IM SOO BORED! lol how come i cant log on at all?

you cant get on to the server because its more off than on with the constant

crashes

I just crashed the server, but I swear than everything was crisp-new

installed... I followed instructions to the point, but still it doesnt work for me... the

last option I see is completely reinstalling my OS (which btw is Win98SE.... yea yea, start

laughing)
