    Horizons Highlights: The Engineers

We’re always impressed by the screenshots and videos our community post on social media and our forums… here’s a collection of a few of our favourites from this week.

Ace pilot Isinona returns with his Flight Assist Off Series, adding a new rule to celebrate the launch of 2.1 The Engineers – no insurance rebuys allowed. If he dies, a massive part of his fortune dies with him…

Bolt vanderhuuge posted this stunning screenshot… something you could only ever see in Elite Dangerous: Horizons.

Obsidian Ant continues his journey to the edge of the galaxy, and visits a few planets in “the Desolation Ridge”.

The Dangerous games Update and Stream

The Dangerous Games Wildcard Community Goals have kicked off with a bang. After a long week of Gold mining the groups have battled it out for points in the first of the three challenges they will face. For the first half of the week the rankings changed daily but as the week went on and the dust settled the final positions were confirmed. EG Pilots took first place and five points, followed by Adles Armada Coalition in fourth, Wolves of Jonai in third, United German Commanders Coalition in Fourth and Black Birds Squadron in fifth.

However, there’s no rest for the thousands of Commanders taking part, as the second CG starts immediately and the groups are now busy bounty hunting for credits in the Bjorti system.

Join us on Tuesday June 14th for the Dangerous Games Rise to Power livestream, where we’ll have the Wildcard entries update us on their campaigns, try to gather even more support for their cause and take on Ed in another combat-oriented challenge whilst trying to answer questions.

    Powerplay Annual Summary

CMDR Corrigendum takes a look back at the first year of Powerplay, digging deep into the political struggles of the last 12 months.

“The Powerplay Annual Summary is an attempt to contextualize the activities of these Commanders in light of other events that affected the political dynamic of the galaxy from June 3301 to June 3302. During that year, 10 of the galaxy’s most influential leaders extended incentives to entice members of the Pilots Federation to support their causes. In addition to financial incentives, unique ship modules were made available to pilots who proved their loyalty."

    GalNet Focus

Welcome to our weekly roundup of news stories and events in the Elite: Dangerous galaxy.

The results are in, and the winner of the first stage of the Dangerous Games ‘Wildcard’ competition has been announced. But whether or not this success will result in ultimate victory remains to be seen, as it will not be clear which faction has received the most support until the end of the three-week campaign.

For the second heat of the Dangerous Games ‘Wildcard’ competition, pilots have been asked to head to the Bjorti system and deploy their hardpoints for a bounty-hunting contest. The faction that accumulates the most bounty vouchers during the week-long event will be declared the winner.

Notorious crime syndicate the Crom Silver Boys claim to have procured the secret recipe for the popular psychoactive drug ‘fesh’, and have announced plans to produce a new strain of the intoxicant. To begin production the organisation needs a quantity of rare elements found only in other narcotics. The criminals have promised to reward those who deliver the much-needed goods to Walheim Enterprise in the Herthe system.

Mehet Ltd has announced that its campaign to clear the Mehet system of agitators has been a success. Hundreds of pilots responded to the appeal, taking to their ships to eliminate the criminals operating in the system. Rewards for those who contributed to the initiative are now available for collection at Schwann Dock.

    Community Goals Update

Greetings Commanders, and welcome to this week’s community goals blog. If you’re looking for a goal, the breakdown below should help:

    Dangerous Games Bounty Hunting Challenge:

Sternbach Vision, Bjorti system – Earn Dangerous Games points for your favourite Wildcard group by handing in Bounty Vouchers issued by Bjorti Power Brokers to Sternbach Vision in the Bjorti system.

A Pound of Fesh is Dearly Bought:

Walheim Enterprise, Herthe System – Smuggle Aganippe Rush, Geawen Dance Dust, Tarach Spice, Terra Mater Blood Bores or Waters of Shintara into Walheim Enterprise in the Herthe system to help the Crom Silver Boys create a new rare variant of fesh.

Those who have explored the trade routes of Wolf 1301 will undoubtedly recall ‘wolf fesh’, the popular psychoactive drug that was once produced in the system. Although originally legal, when control of the system changed last year the drug was banned, and production was immediately halted. Wolf fesh disappeared from galactic trade routes almost overnight.

But now it seems that the drug is about to make a return. Notorious crime syndicate the Crom Silver Boys, known for targeting traders and miners from their secret base in the Crom system, claim to have procured the secret recipe for the drug, and have announced plans to produce a new variant.

The organisation has already stockpiled the necessary common ingredients, but to begin production it needs a quantity of rarer elements found only in other narcotics. The Crom Silver Boys have therefore placed an open order for the requisite intoxicants, and have promised to reward those who deliver the much-needed goods to Walheim Enterprise in the Herthe system.

Most of the requested commodities are illegal in Herthe, and the system’s security forces have vowed to interdict and search any suspicious vessels. The Crom Silver Boys have advised pilots participating in the operation to exercise caution.

The campaign begins on the 9th of June 3302 and will run for one week. If the final target is met earlier than planned, the campaign will end immediately.

    Dangerous Games Bounty Hunting Challenge

The first stage of the Dangerous Games ‘Wildcard’ competition is over, and the second is about to begin. For this heat, pilots have been asked to head to the Bjorti system and deploy their hardpoints for a bounty-hunting contest to prove that they can maintain order if they become a power. The faction that collects the most bounty vouchers for the Bjorti Power Brokers during the week-long event will be declared the winner. Only bounties issued by Bjorti Power Brokers will contribute to the factions totals. Federal, Imperial and Alliance bounties will not count towards the challenge.

The Dangerous Games Wildcard competition will run for a total of three weeks, and the victor will go on to vie for the right to be recognised as an official power.

The event begins on the 9th of June 3302 and will run for one week.
