more spoilers?!?
obi wan pulled vaders light sabre out of the same treasure chest in episode iv as maz kanata/rey in episode vii
just before han solo died he gave the detonator for the bombs to chewie for no obvious reason... its not that such a 2.5m fur thing could take care better of the detonator under normal conditions
its a bit like either han did expect that something would go wrong (which is unlikely since he didnt even know that kylo ren was near) or the scene simply required the detonator being given away since the script couldnt explain in another way how han could die and the bombs detonate
I can imagine the script writing in the following way:
"shit we have a problem... we want the bombs to detonate but we also want han to die.... we need a solution here"
"hmmm no idea..."
"maybe han could give the detonators away.... that 2.5m fur thing has not much to do yet"
"but that fur thing has no pockets and pretty much smashs everything technical... next to that there is no real reason for han to hand that over to somebody else"
"doesnt matter we need han to die and we need a big boom"
"deal!"
well... thats how i imagine it
i have experience putting questionable story strings together in order to create a big picture
Kylo Rens mask is different from Vaders mask
but it shares many similarities with Revans mask
During Reys vision the Knights of Ren are shown
Snoke mentioned the knights of ren just like they would still exist
this violates the "rule of two" that was introduced by darth bane (still part of the official lore)
one master and one apprentice
I believe that Finn and also Poe Dameron are force sensitive.
Based on a book Damerons parents knew Luke and got a gift from him. A part of a force sensitive tree that grew in the jedi academy on coruscant. That tree was planted infront of Damerons house when he was a child. His skills as pilot go way beyond whats normaly possible... similar to Lukes and Anakins skills as pilot.
My assumption that Finn is force sensitive is actually not based on his ability to fight with a light sabre but because of one of the very first scenes in the movie where he refused to kill the villagers.
His commander thought that Finns blaster had a malfunction but Kylo actually never had a reason to observe what every storm trooper does. Still, when he went back to his ship he stopped for a moment, looked at Finn and then released that blaster beam from his force hold. That trooper for some reason caught his attention (after the killing was already over).
When Finn and Poe escaped with the Tie Fighter, Kylo instantly knew which trooper helped Poe to escape.
(at this point I have to mention that I hate german translations in movies -> damn it... they translated Tie Fighter into german... arghhh)
It does not happen often that you see blood in a Star Wars movie.
I think that happened only once before at the beginning of Episode IV.
Ok, well... in Episode I Obi Wan took a blood sample of Anakin... but thats not the same. (I still wish to slap the idiot which thought it is a cool idea to explain what the force is)
