It naive to think that communism would have just stopped trying to grow without a

Golf and boats: In Bavaria i was told

this by several of my friends there. Could it be a Bavarian state law then? If so i didnt

realize it since i have spent accumilated months around Munich area but little time

elsewhere in Germany. To be specific: U needed to take lessons to get the golf licence, so u

wouldnt be too slow or noobish on the course i guess lol. The boats- thing is happening in

the many large lakes near the Tyrol where there are licences and long waiting lists before

u are allowed to have a boat on these lakes, or all lakes in Germany as far as i know. These

are well-known facts there. Maybe not in former east germany, in but Bavaria.

BTW:

My friends there are not so happy to see u as countrymen..... They think that many from the

east are lazy complainers who are not at all appreciative of the many sacrifices the Western

part made for them... More to the point that the massive re-building of the crumbled

infrastucture (...and cleaning of the environmental polutions) is lessening the rest of

Germany's standard of living to much, and ruining the economy. Is that the US's fault too,

you can purchase this licence and you need to get instructions which will take about 1

hour
next golf club is about 30 mins away... been there... done that... finito

countryman coz bavaria is for other german ppl no part of our country.

have to work an average of 35 - 37 hours per week
in east germany the ppl have to work 40

- 42 hours per week
in east germany the ppl get way less money than in bavaria even if

they do the same work
and now i tell you what the western part and especially bavaria did

for us
after the reunion of germany the government handed east german companies over to

west germans... those guys took them and instead of working with what they got they just

said..."no we take the money from these companies and sell the land" result of this was that

those west german assholes got rich while 2 million east german ppl lost their jobs

is what those guys did for us... they took our money and our jobs

the infrastucture

of east germany worked pretty well for over 40 years... and now those guys came and say "oh

lets renew this street" then 2 weeks later those guys came again "oh shit we forgot to lay

some cables we need to do everything again"

the pollution of our cities grew rapidly... the pollution in our forrests also

what i know about communism: Ive read Marx, Engalls, and Mao. Studied alot of history about

the 1918 revolution, about the soviets (Communism with a capital "C"), and about he

turbulent years after ww1 in Germany. Also the Socialist movement in the US in the 1930's..

As an idealistic teen i even fancied myself a "Progressive Socialist". In the late 1980's I

traveled to Moscow and Leningrad (St. Petersburg) on business and spent about 3 weeks

(..followed around by secret police the whole time, lol). Also Poland at that time. But no,

i never lived in a socialist state.....

But then i dont need to experience diahryhha

in a wet suit to know i dont want to !!

think my Bavarian friends (all of them thin and in great shape lol) would not be happy with

little about the US. Watching hollywood movies, american tv shows, and your national news

wont give u the whole picture or put it into perspective....

Personally, i drive a

4-cylinder BMW Z-3 roadster that gets 29 mpg, and gets me pussy while doing it lol. I am now

laughing at my neighbers with SUV's cause gas has gone up to $2.80 per gal (100% rise in

about 18 months). The used-car prices of such dinosaurs has now sunk to ridiculous levels,

and no one is buying new ones (.... Capitalism saving the day again lol).

I dont

like the war in iraq either, never agreed with it. I have a brother and a nephew over there

in the Army and i want them back safe and in one piece!

What amazes me is ppl will

look back in history and "forgive"... say things like " german soldiers who fought and died

OK im not an NRA freak but theres two good reasons for me to have

guns (Baretta 98, autoloader 12-gauge, scoped Ruger Mini-14 ("for deer" lol) plus some

oldies i collected like a Navy Colt, Walther Pk and a Mauser k98). And a black powder

muzzle-loading hawkins rifle replica for early deer season.

1. I live close to a

large metropolitan area... If there was ever a disaster and it evacuated, 30-40 thousand

criminals would be coming thru my neighborhood.... They are not staying for

2. As long as the law-abiding population is armed the govenment can't take

since this hurricane damaged the oil ports near New Orleans.... Gas prices have already

risen to over $3.50 and rising, by the end of next week it could be $4.50. no one knows. I

think that average european prices equate to about $6.00 per gallon (a high percentage of

that is tax, tho).

1 gal = 3.79 liters.... 1 mile = 1.61 km . Some young hot-shot do

the math lol.

There is a worry in UK that americans will soon start buying oil from

europe which will drive up the prices there... Then u can really hate us, lol!

BTW,

the greatest factor on oil prices BY FAR is China, since their usage has tripled in 6 years

and is still growing causing a demand "bottomless hole" (they dont produce any)... The

americans' fault as well for buying all the cheap crap they sell, lol. (oh thats right

europe buys their junk too).

Argos: There wasnt a goddamn thing of worth in

Kosovo..... Yet we helped them. Bosnia? Somalia? Nothing. Now yer right about our

corporations being completely profit minded, for sure... as they are all over the world. i

call it the "tyranny of the shareholder" meaning that a public corporation can do any dirty
