Silver Arrows : Operation Rising Sun

As you may know, the Silver Arrows are heavily involved in all operations regarding Inner Core. Operation Rising Sun is going to confirm that once again. Here's the plan:

• A group of fighters will escort a luxury liner (Codename ZANE) to Weth carrying resources crucial for the development of project Far Reach
  
• The safest route for the liner has been picked: Jormdar (Waypoints - Repair Buoy E6 ; Ice Field E5 ; Repair Bouy E4), Mepther (Direct cruise towards Ryssk Gate), Ryssk (Repair Buoy F6, Repair Buoy G3)
  
• The ship will be escorted by TWO fighters, while the rest of the wing will be clearing the way, remaining in scanner range
  
• Once the payload has been delivered, a prototype Liberty Siege Cruiser will be deployed
  
• The whole team is to return to Ryssk and guard the Cruiser until its mission is done
  

Mission briefing states that enemy blockades are set up at every jumpgate leading towards deeper parts of Inner Core. The luxury liner must be defended in order for the rest of the operation to continue, and in order to enable further development of Far Reach.

Mission Report:


The Operation "Rising Sun" started at 2041, with the luxury liner docking with the GMG Hypergate. The way was clear and the rest of the wing was met at the Venn gate. After a short wait, everyone got their orders and everyone proceeded to dock. After docking, the wing under command of (IOC)Reaper proceeded in front of the liner clearing the way of any unwanted visitors. On the way to Jormdar we lost a pilot, namely BG_Haggisfudge but fortunately the escape pod was tractored in by the Liner. The trip was relatively safe until a certain point where the AI onboard the liner shut down completely and a reboot was required. The liner suffered substantial losses in Ryssk; 7 crewmen died, and 31 were injured. The repair buoy was reached safely and repairs commenced. Weth was reached with low causalities.


The liner released the liveships, activated its cloaking device and entered a self-induced cryostasis. Captain Hasashi was flown to his flagship, namely the Blood Knight, equipped with the prototype forward gun G74 - Eviscerator developed by the Silver Arrows R&D division. The ship was loaded with 400 nodes developed for scanning the planet, along with 500T of Neuro-Toxins.


Blood Knight entered the relative safety around the planet and activated its forward gun, unleashing a powerful force which in advance obliterated the upper crust, thus removing all enemy constructions and obliterating the enemy encampments. The lower crust of the planet was cracked by the 2nd and 3rd try, and it was unable to remove the remaining 17.31% of enemy forces. The Neuro-Toxin was then released and one last shot was fired, and after thoroughly scanning the planet, it was confirmed that all enemy forces were destroyed. The planet is now safe to colonize.
