Suggestions for Starlancer Reborn

  • I know OP that your not starting yet but I think it might be a good thing to have


    ideas on what else to put in the mod.


    My first suggestion is no trade lanes.


    Starlancer did not have them. They used warp gates and jump drives. So in that I suggest


    just warp gates connecting the systems and allow all ships to have warp drives.

    you people have no clue what I'm talking about for warp drives, it is an ability that was


    scripted into FL....it was in the TNG mod but due to exploitation was removed. Instead of


    the engine burn-out [the 'z' keyboard button] it propels your ship at tremedous speeds,


    and in TNG it went up to 900 )

  • Just an idea : Get rid of the docking rings. Instead, give us a maximum entry speed we


    can go into a plante's atmosphere to dock before we are in danger of roasting. I heard a


    rumor that this was an idea for 1.5, but due to the limits of the server, it was left out.

  • But engine burnout is a


    useful battle technique. So you could make warp drive accessable from inside cruise speed.


    Go into cruise and press tab for warp drive.
    And so people don't abuse it, make a load


    time like there is for cruise.

    the ability to


    walk around


    and on the misions where u rescue that one guy off the prison ship u get


    to be a good guy soldier and blast coilition soldiers


    which i doubt even the awsome


    modding powers of op could do that

    course never heard of it either.


    anyways, i know how to make warp drives and somewhat


    how to set what speed they go at, so just lemme kno if u need me to do


    somethin.


    heres my suggestion: you should keep a map of the stars to show what


    systems are currently under the control of what faction.

    I'm baaaaaaack......time to find a group to fly with.

    done....all OP i guess is going to do is make the Coalition ships flyable for us. The cap


    ships i guess should stay the want they are.....except theres a couple cap ships OP that


    need to be corrected.....like the Bandanov destroyer and the Kiev carrier. And if you read


    the SL-RB thread then you would know that there will be a bribe on Earth.

    to what mech says about the bases that reminds me, i forgot who put it out but someone a


    month ago released on TLR a mod that allows bases in multiplayer to be destrucable. But if


    someone is in that base and someone destroys it the server would crash. Is that what you are


    planning to use for SL-RB?

    question: will the cap ships be pilotable by us? i think it would be


    awesome, and it would make a more realistic total war scenario.
