Hi,
have you please properly installed and next activated Crossfire mod?
did you touched option "OpenSP" in launcher? -
Yes it is properly installed and I have not touched the opensp as I just fixed the problem with mission 12 doing the same thing in vanilla campaign
-
You should have available new mission save (it should be done after you end vanilla). Check this one and if you have it, use it. But maybe is your problem not there. ... for starting new campaign you need replay WHOLE last vanilla mission.
Quote from "Michael"it starts after the FL campaign, but it works like a "continuation", so you actually have to start and finish at least the 13th Freelancer mission in this mod, so you can receive the 14th CF Campaign mission next.
-
I have tried what you have said but still isn't working!!
-
Here is something odd ... how you start crossfire mod? Have you new launcher? (check link in my wiki and there look to troubleshootings section).
-
I just launch the freelancer.exe via a shortcut and it comes up with the launcher that has 4 boxes:Mod info, Server, Forum and Website
-
this is ok. You wait for load updates before start SP? (if not, pls let launcher fully patch your game). Also, can you please look into your save folder (from game) and tell me mission name you used as first?
-
What do you mean by in my save game folder because I don't know where that is. Is it the one in my documents???
-
Have in mind that my quote also mentions to "Start" that mission 13, that means if you started using a savegame, it might still not work. So did you try starting the game from the beggining as Forlon said ?
If you installed the mod correctly, you should see many new graphics inside and new ships, if you see white squares or textures, means the new files were not added correctly due to: 1. Not installing the mod running everything as Administrator, or 2. A third party software related to windows and the graphic card is missing. Drivers not updated maybe.
Yes, the save game folder is the one in My Documents/My Games/Freelancer, only the save games are there.
-
So do I have to start the game from the very beginning?!?!?!?!?!
-
I have all of the new graphics and ships but it still doesn't work. I don't have any problems other than the original one that I wrote in this thread
-
There is only few reasons why new campaign not started:
- wrongs mod install/activation (it can be also not overwritten some files due files 'write protection' ... see FAQ)
- used wrong old savegame (you need pass last vanilla mission and for this you need use last mission MISSION save)
- used OpenSP (no matter if only once, or if in options during mod actication or in launcher). Its all, there is not any other reason which was reported in the past here.
-
So do I have to do a re-install and redo the entire thing?!?!?!?!?!
-
Please look into FAQ how to reinstall this mod and do not forget this advise for remove 'write protection' once you will have vanilla installed.
Then install cf mod, activate it in FLMM 1.31 (not any later versions!).
Start mod once for obtain updates and new launcher.
Then copy your old saves back and try them. (you need have old mission saves!). If you do not have them, you need play whole vanilla.
-
So do I just copy all of the files inside C:/Users/My name/My documents/My games/Freelancer/Accts/Singleplayer and copy them into the new save folder after I have reinstalled???
-
How do you remove write protection?
Where is the FAQ??? -
I finally got it to work!!!
Thanks for your help everyone
I just reinstalled freelancer with this index.php?page=FaqDetail&category=7
Yet again, Thank you -
