I've been having this problem for quite some time now. I try to connect to the server, but it drops me, and freezes. I can only shut the game down with the command prompt. I have no idea what is causing this. My internet is stable and my pc is fine. Any suggestions?

Did you start CF as Administrator ? Normally your firewall, antivirus or something can block games from connecting, but also, normally they prompt a message in the background saying if you allow the application to connect or not, instead of blocking your PC... check out if you can get to anything with this info.

I got some similar problem
here too Connecting takes longer than expected...
After this nothing and i think it crashes up the whole server, so i will not attept again (until it will be fixed hopefully) and sorry for the inconvenience.
This thing happened early today when tried to switch chars. This is all i know about this. -
I just logged on with no issues. there were 13 others logged on at the same time. Noted no lag or latency issues. Take Michael's advice for starters. I also run everything as Admin using Win 7. Hope you are successful.

I tried turnig off the firewall, running the game as administrator, even using firewalls advanced exceptions didn't help.
I have no idea why it isn't working.
