  • Hey guys, so after more than 5 years i decided to start playing Freelancer again, this time with this famous MOD. it was kinda pain to make it run, but everything is working now. I started to play Crossfire single player, but im stucked in the game from the very beginning. I start in the Freeport 7 system with instructions to land on planet Toledo. Problem is there is no planet in the system at all, only three stars and also no jumpgates or jumpholes, as far as i know. Its a really huge system and it'd take me ages to search it throuroughly. So can u guys advise me pls, where the heck is planet Toledo and how to start the single player campaign in general. or is it a software glitch? Thanks for your help and i'll see u in multiplayer. Cant wait :) Hope there are many opportunities in this mod for a RP humble hauler and trafficker :)

  • Yes, for some reason that sometimes happens to some people (mainly due to certain files being as "Read only" so they fail to get modified).

Counting you did select "Normal Singleplayer" when activating the mod (so you are able to do the storyline), you have to go to the Freelancer folder on where you installed the game (by default it's at Program Data/Microsoft Games/Freelancer ), inside there you will see an "OpenSPFix" file, execute it, and the issue should be fixed. That is only needed once, the next time you start the game, you can do it the normal way.

  • Well, if you want to play that Crossfire Campaign as in the thread's title, you have to uninstall everything and activat the mod using "Normal Singleplayer", as I mentioned above.

As you chosen Open Singleplayer, you appear with the story already finished and free to roam arround.

You do NOT have to use the OpenSP fix when using Normal SP :D

    Good luck,

  • Oh, i thought that the Crossfire campaign starts after a Freelancer storyline. nevermind, i'll start over. thanks anyway

Yes, it starts after the FL campaign, but it works like a "continuation", so you actually have to start and finish at least the 13th Freelancer mission in this mod, so you can receive the 14th CF Campaign mission next.

They don't work separatedly, as the CF one is the "FL extended campaign", not just some other campaign.
