Game crashes when try to launch to space

The most probable reason is a corrupt install. The 2nd option would be updating the graphics card driver, but any driver should work, while you do use one.

To fix it, simply uninstall and reinstall everything, on a fresh and empty Freelancer install (no patches no anything), and BEFORE activating the mod at FLMM, make sure to Untick/deactivate the "Read only" property from the Freelancer folder itself and everything inside, first click "Apply" then "Accept" to make sure it's saved properly.
Also start the CF unpacker and FLMM with Administrator rights if you're using Windows Vista or newer.

kyle2: you play open or campaign SP? In Campaign you need wait for Juni (talk with her and then follow her instructions) to give you ship before you can buy your own new one. (Not doing so will lead to crash ... its vanilla issue)

There is no "Launch" button at all on the Launching Pad, not before going to the Bar for Juni then getting a ship at the Equipment Dealer.

So it shouldn't be the case unless there's a bug about this.

Yup, good to hear it, normally a reinstall is the "easiest fix"
