Universe Sandbox game - galactic simulator

    Lately I found this game, which would interest most of you space lovers. It's name is Universe Sandbox :D



    It can do from asteroids hitting Earth, or stability of the solar system, up to entire galaxies, galaxy collisions (like Andromeda with our Milky Way) and black holes. It also has many fun modes/scenarios, where you shoot asteroids at Earth and see how it react, and dozens more. Also everything in the universe is EDITABLE, so you can change a planet's (sun or anything else's ) mass, speed, size, temperature, density, etc. So you can make out everything you can imagine in here, even spawning Halo rings (from Halo), dices, footballs and stuff... make them collide, etc.

    You can buy it, play the trial (30 mins), or using your imagination (other ways), you're on the internet ^^

    Not that cool after trying... Low-resolution background, no sound at all... I saw better games. :(

    There is no sound in space... neither if planets collide :P It's a simulator not totally a "game".
    But you can put your own music, many have their playlists, used even in games like CF.


    And the resolution parts are configurable I think, the first time they set up an optimized config for your PC's capabilities.



    And it's currently under development, they recently released version 2.15. It was "Beta" before passing version 2.

    No no no, the space is filled with orchestral music by John Williams, blaster shots, laser beams visible without a medium it can interact with, loud bassy explosions and howling TIE-fighters with the camera shaking on their approach!

    Huor: As there is no materia/particles to vibrate to move the sounds along, there are no sounds in space. Sound is not like light that has it's own particle with a mass + vibration to travel the void.
