  • Greetings all,

There are many players arround known for playing cool music while playing CF or other games in general.

Sharing the names(or even youtube videos) of your favourite playlists, will help each other improve our own playlists ^^

No links to direct download sites, only names, youtube videos or other similar legal sites.

  • You are actually the one who's listening to shit music

  • Yes I do :D

BG Music is the best anyway ;)

And since you are such a hater, at least be quiet about something that you don't like and give the proper respect ;)

  • My recent revelation: "El Laberinto Del Fauno" ("Pan's Labyrinth") soundtrack by Javier Navarrete, a Spanish composer.

P.S. The post's code is correct, but SWAT just cuts off the part of the linked URL that follows the apostrophe. ?(

  • Lately I've got into trailer music and soundtracks. If you want some epic action music you might want to listen to Two Steps From Hell, X-Ray Dog and Immediate Music. I also recomment Hans Zimmer, he's truly the Godfather of soundtracks.

  • @Tyrael: yep I have the full TSFH discography, but got quite bored with their music lately... Will try the other two, thanks for remembering.
Pan's Labyrinth score is not that epic, it's more like chamber music, especially the main theme, but still sounds powerful.

Hans Zimmer is the most famous and productive, but I wouldn't say I like all his music.
For epic soundtracks, don't feel ashamed to download Transformers OSTs by Steve Yablonsky (or their reproduction by LMW)- they will surprise you. Take SA_Fraise's mixes as an example.

I've enjoyed soundtracks for all my life, but above the ones from Hollywood movies I always prefered music from games. It is much less conditional, the music from one game cannot suit another one in most cases; also, not many of the game developers have their own symphonic orchestras and recording studios, so most of the game soundtracks (especially old ones) are synthesized, therefore they often sound more atmospheric.
From the latest releases I'd recommend "Batman: Arkham Asylum" (yet another movie-style score), "Deus Ex: Human Revolution", "Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War II" (pure epic!), "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" (Jeremy Soule is good like never before), "Gears of War 2" (Steve Jablonsky again... also, "Steamboy" score is his creation too), "World of Warcraft" (the first one, by Jason Hayes).

    Old good ones (IMO):
"Emperor: Battle for Dune" (Frank Klepacki and Jarrid Mendelson's parts),
    "King's Bounty: The Legend",
"Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" (can PM a link to audible MIDI recreations),
"Too Human" (by Steve Henifin, also known for "Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain" dark pieces - forgotten now because of low quality even for 1996),
    "Haegemonia",
    "Caesar IV",
"Disciples II: Rise of the Elves",
    "Dune 2000",
"Spellforce" - Songs of Winter CD (by Dynamedion, also like their "Anno 1404" music... and they worked on Black Prophecy, btw)
"Unreal" and "Deus Ex" tracker modules,
    "X" series music,
    and many many many more.

    Edit by
There was a mistake, I meant "Batman: Arkham City", not "Batman: Arkham Asylum" (though they are similar, I like "... City" more).
Also, if you happen to have ~100 spare hours of your life, don't pass by "Final Fantasy" series soundtracks, some of them are really good. :)
