Many systems in CF look just great.
However, most of the graphical improvements were done when I started to work on CF1.8. That was more than 3 years ago.
I believe with todays knowledge and possibilities even better stuff can be created and nasty texture bugs can be fixed.
FL can look much better than it does today... even if we keep in mind that we have to take care on compatibility.
Sometimes its worth to go 2 steps back and doing a job again.
We will need people willing to help with this kind of work.
The solar improments also involve that we check all nebulas and asteroid fields and try to make improvements to them.
Checking if the color settings fit, if the brightness fits, if we can increase the draw distance without loosing frames.. testing if we probably can do improments to the asteroid billboards.
tons of minor tweeks which can have big impact on the look of the game.
