Free energy?

  • Gentlemen... There is truly nothing new under the sun.

Free energy concepts and such devices have been around for many years now, or at least in prototype stages anyway... Nikola Tesla was also one of those people working on this concept as well from my understanding and research.(which may be another reason about his mysterious death, which leads to my next statement...)

The reason there are no such devices around to this day gentlemen is because there are far, FAR too many people in power with lots of money at their disposal, particularly in the energy and oil industries who have much, much to loose to such a device if it ever hit the market, therefore... Most likely they can and will do everything in their power to keep such a device from ever seeing the light of day. My estimation is most people who do develop such a device and seriously consider marketing it are quickly bought up by said oil and energy companies, promptly shelved never to be heard about or seen ever again.

Regardless, best of luck in development of such a device, it would finally and radically change our planet forever for our energy needs. Perhaps this too is why a free energy generator has never become a feasible reality... :(

  • Vishnu: Your idea contradicts itself. On one hand you say that light keeps reflecting forever, on the other, you say the box heats up. Light energy needs to be absorbed and converted into kinetic energy of the glass' molecules to heat the system up. This way, at one point, all light energy will get used up(Like Mich said).
Hence, the idea doesn't work. Good try, though.

I think Michio Kaku was talking about harnessing Zero-point energy. Anyone know the details?

    meh.

It is more mathematical model rather than reality. But worth to pick up ...inetresting thing.

  • Using Fossil fuels will cause problems for us in around 30 years, when It will seriously be depleted (thus expensive) It will also have cause clear damage to the planet and its enviroment.
So in less than 30 years they will have to come up with something else, clean energy , they will have to tell us that it exists and easier to mass produce.
    There wont be a choice.

Michiu Kaku, Yea.seen quite alot of his stuff, but then..he is only really reporting on what is already common knowledge amongst the scientific community.

    I vote this thread..Interesting 8|

  • It is obvious that several of you know a heck of a lot more about this than I do but I do have to agree with SA_ORION. Several decades ago my father ran an Auto parts store, part of a chain of 6 stores, in Indianapolis, IN. His store was only a couple miles from Gasoline Alley. The had a customer come in who had developed a carburetor for the then early V-8s that had less than 20 moving parts (New carbs have in the neighborhood of 150 to 200 moving parts in them depending on size). It allowed the engines to get 35-40 miles a gallon. This was in the mid-late forties. Dad said they were selling 2 – 3 a month at most of the stores until about 8 months after they started to carry them. They always had 5-6 in stock in each store. One day each store had two men come in at almost the same time and purchased all they had in stock. Dad found out from the chain owner the next day that all of this type of carb had been bought and these folks then contacted the creator and manufacture and bought all he had ready for shipment, all parts and the blueprints for the carbs. Since he had registered it and copyright protected the plans the buyer (later found out to be Mobile Oil) was unable to reproduce as they had not bought the rights. But what they did was lock everything away in
a warehouse in the industry section of Indianapolis, where they were still sitting as of 1993 which was the last time my dad heard from his old boss who had been keeping track of them.

So, there have been ideas, even products produced that would have been a great benefit to humankind that have been squashed because of greed on the part of a few. Another idea that has been written up several times that I have seen in the past is using Satellites in geostationary orbit to collect solar energy and then beam it to the surface via laser to receivers that would covert that to electrical energy and introduce it into the grids on a worldwide basis making electrical power almost free. That too was stopped as being “too expensive and complicated to pursue”. Yeah, right. For whom? Now however solar panels have gotten considerably smaller in the last 5 years so that a 5Kw system that would have taken up most of the roof space on a 2600 Sq. Ft home
now only takes up about 500 sq. ft. Additionally the cost has come down with it as well. Five years ago that same 5Kw system would have cost $50K, now about $20K. With a projected 5 years to pay off by not using commercial power from the Utility companies and selling them your excess. Here several states have requirements on the books that require the Utility companies to buy your excess energy you aren’t using. So, maybe just putting up your own solar system is the way to go.

In any case, I believe Tesla had the right Idea. One of the cable channels here recently had an hour long program about him, his ideas, and the tower and power generation building he had started to build until he couldn't get the funds to complete it and test it's full capability. Another thing to think about, take a look at the Tesla auto and what it is capable of and compare that against what the big automotive manufactures are trying to sell us and those cars limitations. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they are purposely limiting what they are building to increase price and forestall the development of vehicles that won't use or need fossil fuels.

  • I was just saying, on another thread... but forced to repeat.

Money is a bitch, it's the worse creation of man, worse than nukes. But for now, that representation of money in any form is a necessary thing for man to go on... what a joke, huh ?

Inventing an useless paper to "invent" power for people over other people... ok, they're in need of selfestimation or whatever. But that wrong use of it also keeps humanity from going on... the situation won't change when there's no more fuel/fosils (that's actually hard to happen as more fosils keep appearing, it was supposed to end about 3 times until now, and it never ended, and as in Husker's vid, they can "invent" oil/fuel for keeping on it), it won't end when the planet is fvcked up, as it already is, it will change when something happens to the "money" concept, due to a change in humanity's way to live, without the need of restraints.

But well, the best thing humanity can do is extinguish itself, since they exist. The best in killing themselves... for a women/man, for terrain, for powers, for feeling weird, for papers called money... but apparently is like fire, it needs to consume something to keep burning.

Ahem, so..., what about the Zero Point energy ? That's playing with something out of our handling/limits.

For now they are doing good advance in observing such particles, who can travel in time uncontrolled(they need our control to be efficient) and particles which have intelligence, the such "god particles".
It's good they keep it in secret... like the part that the LHC needed 3 months to complete the process, but was stopped cus of an"anomaly" after about a month it started... ya right. That was exactly the time they needed to complete it. Apparently, there appeared some results of that collision that never happened, information about those particles they were searching :D Which is why investigations had interesting turns all arround.
