Problem with the SP Mission in Sol

It usually happens once or twice such CTD, but it should work normally at more attempts.

Try making a manual save after you got the last briefing (when docked), restart, and start from that save.

Also be sure you get close to the Osiris after it told you to dock with it, after pressing to "dock" just don't touch anything.

btw, there's also a german board if you feel more confortable in it, but part of the people won't be able to answer questions there.

There are also enough people who can/will answer your questions in German. And those who can't read/speak it will remain quiet (gladly)

It also crashed for me once there exactly at the same point, not sure why as the error report was, unusual, but it worked the next time I started since "Autosave".
Have you tried starting from autosave ?

The campaign usually crashes if there's something you skipped in the line of orders or did wrong at a certain point, but I think OP could help more as he made the scripts, and knows where you had to sit and what to do.

hmmm, I also get that crash and the only thing I "skipped" is engaging the hostile ships attacking me at the jumpgate leading to the anomaly...I'll try to destroy them.

About the updater. It downloaded most of the files at first but it still downloads some at each start. Is this right?

I suggest you break formation after you receive info after ambush (it can need use some bots/bats) and after this kill attackers as quick as possible and re-join formation with 'proper train' (marked as mission objective if I remember good).

.. downloaded files are part of dynamic economy, its normal.

I'm talkng about the second mission when you first arrive at the SOL system. You are attacked by three corsair raiders before entering the jump gate.

The problem I'm having is the crash when docking with the Osiris.

hmm .. dunno, but what help many ppl was use last mission! save (only those saves are 'safe' when troubles happen) and play whole part again. If this will not help is another'solution' sent your mission save to someone who will pass this passage and sent you new mission save back.

Well I tried it like 5-6 times and everytime the same story.

I read all the stuff that was written in several threads around this forum and nothing helps.

I can upload my save-game if someone is interested in helping me.

I can do it, but first on Sunday (1th Jul) evening.

Thank you all for the help but I found a solution. I just had to jettison the datadisk that was left in my cargo bay from the last mission.

It works now.

Perhaps you could script it in, it would go a long way toward game stability.
