Well, in that day in Bulgaria, we honor a prophet named Saint Ilia , which is on 20th July. There's a belief that also on that day , the sea takes most victims. And so on so on... (more info here though http://bg.wikipedia.org/wiki/%…8%D0%BD%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BD , but it's in bulgarian).
And no , we don't get any gifts ... at least I am not getting any as I don't need any ;D , you can just go somewhere and party for your holiday.
And all people who has a close name to his one , has a holiday ( Ilia , Ilian/Iliyan , .. etc.)
