Widescreen HUD

    maybe this belongs rather to CF Mod Development section, but I assumed it would be safe to post it here. From what I gather, CF 1.9 will support widescreen resolutions. In CF 1.8 to get the widescreen going it is necessary to modify couple of .ini files, which is fine, but I understand that 1.9 will support widescreen without the need to do any editing since it incorporates JFLP. Does this mean that HudShift is also supported, i.e. is it going to be either incorporated as an option or would it be possible to add it manually to the CF installation without the CF Launcher overwriting it?


    I am looking forward for the release of CF 1.9. I am a SP guy, so I was amazed to learn what you managed to pull. A continuation of SP campaign... This is great!

  • This is fine, if there is an option to add HudShift manually without CF Launcher overwriting it. I may be mistaken, but the widescreen feature of JFLP is contained already in CF 1.8, although it is said to be broken, thus the need to editing relevant .inis manually. I presume that CF 1.9 will base its widescreen support on JFLP as well. This would mean that even if HudShift would not be incorporated, it should be pretty easy to add it manually - but only in the case the CF Launcher is not going to overwrite it.

    i am not really familar with the widescreen stuff at all and ive no possibility to test anything of that
