I am a failure of a person. Blargh. Can someone tell me how i can reduce the jinky-ness of light fighter npcs? Im going through singleplayer and i keep spending 20 minutes a fighter to take down anything classed as a light fighter. Well not all light fighers. But im having special troubles with the liberty light and the kusari light. damn small profiles and they jink like an epileptic... They're impossible to hit.....With the new money reqs, ive managed to buy a l10 shield, so its not like im dying to these things, but its pretty frustrating to have to sit there and watch the target jink randomly and then i cant hit it. ever.
MNAAAAAHHH FRUSTRATION

Use high refire rate weapons. That's the only advice I really can offer for SP.

The problem isnt actually hitting so much as it is the massive regeneration that happens immediately afterward. In vanilla i could use the fact that npc shields dont regen to attrition tough-to-hit npcs to death, but i cant do that here, especially with the ones with higher level shields. Im under the impression that npcs actually have a heavily boosted shield regen rate over PCs, because when i knock out an npc's shields, they come back almost imminently (something like 2-4 seconds) and almost always at full strength, not to mention the fact that i can see the shield bar rapidly creeping upwards after i hit them.

When i said "npcs seem to have higher shield regen" i meant in addition to the battery and nanobot usage. When they boosted the npcs, did they also nerf their near infinite booster reserves? Cause it doesnt seem like they did, but should have.....

As the low shields of those fighters only have 1000 to 4000 Shield capacity, they only use few nanobots to repair it, and so they can repair it quite many times....
But yes, with good Lvl 9 or fast firerate 10 ones you can kill them in like 2 seconds with 2 hits

NPCs have a finite amount of bots and batts... When they run out of them, they (try to) run away.

I guess you didnt get what fuffu meant.
Once you took out an npc's shield, it comes back quite fast, like 4-5 seconds later.
not only the short time but also it comes back almost at FULL CAPACITY when it regenerates themself.
On the other hand, we can not really tell if they used batts bring the shield back up or if it did regenerate itself. In case they use batteries.
HOW do they manage just using that ammount of batteries to bring the shield back up at NOT full capacity? When a player uses batteries, the shield is (depending on the ammount of batts he has left) back to FULL. and not just a third, or 2 third of the capacity.
Is there an option to use a certain ammount of batteries, just to charge up the shield again, and let it regenerate itself for the rest of the capacaty itself?
If not.. the NPC's have an unfair advantage.. lolseriously. When NPC's use their batteries, they mostly NEVER get the FULL shield back. how is that?
can they say I want just use 20 of my 60 batteries now, and wanna keep the 40 left for later?would be interesting to know.

They use 1 by 1... until the ammount of shield which is missing is lower than the ammount of regen from the Batt
