hit it with a hammer until it works again!!!

write down that error code and google it to get more information. often bluescreens indicate either problems with drivers or your windows installation

Check ur RAM memory, if u see "Blue screen of death" (i had this problem)

Microsoft Security Essentials sucks balls
From what I've just read , it looks like a video card problem. It's either your drivers of the video or the video card itself.
And how did you managed to scan your system as you just said that you can't turn on your anti-virus?
Anyway, try replacing your video card with another one for just to try if it's from the video or not. And replacing the video card would require for you to install new drivers, which are exactly for that video card. If that fails, it's either a Windows issue or a virus.
Remove Microsoft Security Essentials , download Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 Trial version(the trial version is the same as the licensed one , but for 30 days only) and scan your PC. Make sure that you edit the settings of the anti-virus first, so it can be more efficient on it's search and defence. If you like it, you can buy it and blabla... ( I've also heard that there's an offer for 1 year free -> licensed .. but , not sure , just a rumour).
If everything fails , reinstall your Windows(and be sure you save your stuffs on your C drive of course).
O, and .. you can use some cleaner programs such as Advanced System Care , PC Tools Performance Kit or other to clean up your junks on your PC. And also the Driver Cleaner program to remove any remaining driver files(of the video) if you've done any driver removings recently.

It could be also that the RAM is defective and cause the BSOD when enough programs are active to cause the defective ram to be used.

I removed M. Sec. Essentials and installed ESET NOD32 4..........it found a lot of bad things
