the Old Freelancer Trailer
Dunno how, but I like the skill of free-watching inside the equipment or good bays (see the parts where the camera spinns arround the ship )
still I see some Huds there unknown ... in starlancer style lols
Ideas ?
Anyways, hope you sometimes see whan an active artifact looks like being opened
Or the real original intro, not the one you know as Lancers Reactor

Then Microsoft decided the game was too complicated and decided to make it more "User Friendly".

I've noticed some features in the Old Freelancer video, that are not present in the current release, like docking and seeing the insides of the base. The part with Pirate was that docking scene inside Cadiz, and wow i could saw the city from outside, that's something... Still it had many Starlancer influence like the HUD that's very similar to Starlancer. It seems the Freelancer SDK is capable of many hmm... too bad MS doesn't release it...

i like it the way it is
everything that is not possible and gets possible coz we make it possible is beneficial of CF and SWAT -
Yep, even those behind scene and FL 2 videos were posted many times, and seen, you can't be rlly sure if it's bad or good that it wasn't released.... if it was released 5 years ago as it should would be good
Now... CF is better than it
Making ship parts move is possible on this FL, there was a model with retractable wings made here, but it's buggy and too much work for something not rlly important, unless it gives something extra
Still it'd be nice to get the free view program from developers... to watch the enviroment as we want -
features and details are nice stuff, if its practicable
the moving wings for ships do exist for almost 3 years (at least that was the time i first experimented with that)
possible is much, but those wings are not very useful
1. they add nothing gameplay related to the game
2. creating them is work intensive
3. the animation can not be triggered automatically by certain events (such as cruise)
4. the amount of details and settings just increase the lagmod creators which have put such wing animations into their mod have not thought a single second about side effects or consequences
even Digital Anvil knew that its better to limit the amount of animated objects (which in the end was reason for them to deactivate many of them)
