Ooooow, that's where Michael got his nickname... The Wraith (pain) in the ass :P , I see.
I thought it's his real name. Mine is Mihai, but translated to English it's Michael.

Thank you, Bullwinkle! That was crystal explanation, indeed! Well, there is a bug with the infocards actually. Hopefully OP doesn't ban me for pointing it out :D . Alright, the bug is : in Inner Cloud, wherever you mouseover in the Navmap (after you mouseover-ed a nebula/field), it will pop-up the name of the nebula/field that was mouseover-ed before. And if you right click -> ? , you get the info for that nebula/field... :)

    Gosh, Michael, you're at least 2 years older than me and still, my English is waaay better than yours :D . Tip : word-by-word translation won't do; that's your first mistake. {got no time for my so-called high-speed 3G to connect AGAIN & say this in a PM :P }

  • that is no infocard bug actually

Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

    Five percent pleasure,
    Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

Yeah, I thought that was an .INI file thing, but I figured that you were the guy to answer it.

As for knowing the mod... don't get me wrong, Swat_Op, I think you are a modding hero among heroes. You've got the best Mod for Freelancer ever made, and it is half way to being a true "expansion pack".

I just teased you about your certainty that the infocards are 100% perfect. They might be, but it would be highly unlikely, wouldn't it? Especially when the infocard system itself is not very robust. And with FLMM fiddling with the load order (and, potentially, IDs) during activation. And with my own observation that they are not 100%...

I'm not criticizing at all. Software is (almost) never 100% bug-free. And Crossfire 1.8 is in BETA TEST, so aren't we supposed to report unintended side effects that we see?

You're the boss... you get to choose what you fix and what you don't fix. We can only tell you what we see on our screens. Telling us that there are NO PROBLEMS when we can see them seems a little ... um... "over the top", don't you think?

You called me on my typo, and I am calling you on your exaggeration. Nothing more than that. Fair?

For my part, I hope that we don't have to talk about this anymore so that we all can go back to, um, "testing".

If I get any more specific examples, I'll put the screen shots in the CF Bug Fixing thread, ok?

I thought you were kidding when you said that, but I see that I just got demoted from "Cool Member" to "Member".

    This question is to all:

Yeah, I did not understand Spiky's comment, either, but it was not the first time that somebody said something that I did not understand here. :) I have noticed that the culture seems to be a little different than on other forums, so perhaps I should ask what is the proper board etiquette?

I am accustomed to using the Quote feature to respond to specific questions, so that readers will know to whom I am replying, and why. If I respond to two different posters on the same topic, then both replies go into a single post. If I respond to two different posters on two different topics, then I make two separate replies. This appears to be a common system used on several other boards that I frequent. (And, yes, I do use the "Edit" feature when it makes sense to do so).

Do you folks do it differently here?

I'm just trying to do it the way that works best for the regular posters here, in order to minimize misunderstandings.

    Thanks.
