  • Have you cleaned your PC lately?, if you did not, try with Advanced System Care^^

  • is this whats happening?


    you launch Freelancer load a save, your on a planet/station, you launch, in doing so
    Freelancer crashes, if this is whats happening then here are some causes.


    1> your using the wrong mod manager for the mod your using.
    2> the mod is corrupt, numerous things can cause this.
    3> the game install is corrupt.
    3> sometimes a mod needs a clean install of Freelancer to run as FL mod manager leaves some
    file in the directory it cant delete and some other mods change some files in order to run.
    4> some mods need to be connected to the internet in order to run, if you play these mods
    without internet, it can have the same prob.


    and theres probly some more out there, just cant think of any more right now.


    hope it helps, and try (smart defrag) it the best defrag tool you can get on the internet for free.



    Edit: just had a look at the DxDialog... seems fine...?
    but i have heard in the past that the FX types can have
    some incompatibly issues with some games.

  • I can see the Server in the Server List and talk to people sitting on the planet but as soon as I leave for space, I crash. :(


    I have never ever tried any other mod and I have been on Crossfire for a long time so I hope everything I know I have done right.


    The Launcher Updates itself properly and the EXE2 Folder disappears afterwards soon so that is a sign that the Updation Process is workimg ok.


    Do you guys need any more information >

  • i doubt that ur installation of fl is ok, as it seems that client and server files r not identical...


    please do a clean install by following the "Installation Instructions" in the CF Guide (link here).


    note: while installing and updating, please do start everything as administrator and make sure that read only attribute is not set on folders and files in ur freelancer path...

  • yes, and please follow the "Installation Instructions" in that CF Guide (see link in my previous post). do not forget to remove any read only attribute form files and directories within ur freelancer path...
