Welcome back comrade -
I ban NH 'cos, thanks.
Currently decided to replay C&C Tiberian Sun Nod campaign. TBH it even inspired me in creation of one of my Warcraft III campaigns Especially Firestorm Nod 02 "Seeds Of Destruction"). -
I ban Ajay for being a seed of destruction himself
-
I ban Mike 'cos, perhaps. *chuckle*

I ban Mike for thinking this is something out of the ordinary.

I ban you cus you are ABLE TO and SEEN chuckling, there goes your "never smiles, always serious" reputation xD
-
I ban Mike 'cos I never actually bothered to uphold that reputation. In fact, I learn that I had this reputation only now, from your post.
I always thought I had the reputation of being more than meets the eye though. -
I ban Ajay 'cos
I always thought I had the reputation of being more than meets the eye though.
For me, YES. ALWAYS. -
I ban NH 'cos, that always was the point.
-
I ban Ajay 'cos i'm glad to hear that
-
I ban NH 'cos, that is one of the reasons I've started to like Ciaphas Cain from 40k book series of the same name, as you can't quite tell what kind of person he really is - not even author himself.
And also why Kane from C&C and Alarak from SCII (as well as a certain other character who's voiced by the same actor) are among my favorite characters. -
-
I ban NH 'cos, now that really makes that certain book series stand out, doesn't it? In addition to that it is a flakload less grimdark than most of 40k literature and relies on humor almost as much as it does on pathos or epicness.
The point is, the main character describes himself as a selfish coward (i.e. the kind of people he is supposed to root out), but he is a commissar (Technically a Lord Commissar, but he is never referred as such aside of one footnote) of the Imperial Guard and as such has duties to attend and a reputation to uphold, which makes him to commit heroic deeds - thanks to his quick thinking, his skills and his companions - that only reinforce his heroic reputation. But while the main narration (from his POV) gives selfish explanations to all his selfless actions, footnotes and incursions (from the POV of other people, mostly his Inquisition associate) imply that he may be too hard on himself (Not to say that his actions end up really saving the day).
