I ban The Original 'cos WH40k is a whole universe. TL;DR below
Primary asset is a Warhammer 40k tabletop game (Some people sometimes use "WH40k" when referring to computer game "Dawn Of War", which is rather wrong as "WH40k" is either tabletop game or overall universe) and its rulebooks. Games Workshop makes miniatures for it and owns all the trademarks, with some contributing from Forgeworld company.
Then there are books by Black Library publishing house that is AFAIK a part of Games Workshop. They have made a flakton of novels and short stories of varying awesomeness (I've started my read from "Ciaphas Cain" series by Sandy Mitchell, they are less grimdark, more fun).
And then, there are various computer games, such as Dawn Of War. Being not made by tabletop veterans, they are full of codex and canon mistakes.
And, last in the list but not the last in the meaning, the WH40k fanbase. Active also in the places-that-must-not-be-named. -
Banning Ajay coz..... Hmmmmmmmmm....okayyyyy...:)
-
I ban The Original to tell to Ajay that i did't know that.
I don't play the game too, but if you say more about that i would gladly hear it
-
I ban NH 'cos, it's a game with one hell of a backstory, which is though summed up as "everything is f*cked".
I'll just list down factions and subfactions with short explanations.
-The Imperium of Man is totalitarian theocratic dictature. Sub-armies:
-Space Marines - genetically engineered superhumans, armed usually with 20mm automatic rocket-propelled grenade launchers and power armor. Can be a target for Chaos corruption (look below).
-Imperial Guard - regular army, armed with flashlights, t-shirts and massive wheelbarrows for their standart issue balls of steel (even the women have them). Field best tanks and artillery in the game. One of the slowest factions.
-Inquisition - KGB and GRU in one package. Three branches: Ordo Malleus (specializes against Chaos Daemons, uses Grey Knights space marine chapter which is totally overpowered), Xenos (Aliens fighting, uses Deathwatch chapter) and Hereticus (Internal threats, uses next point)
-Adepta Sororitas - army of the state church. Due to the laws prohibiting "men under arms", is all-female. Usually violent religious fanatics. (Two words: Sisters. Repentina.) Use power armor as well as said grenade launchers (aka bolters), but lack tanks.
-Adeptus Mechanicus - technocrats and machine worshipers, also main provider and supporter of hi-tech stuff. Can field heavily augmented troopers, wetware-based robots and huge, HUGE walker machines aka Titans.-Necrons - ancient robots animated by the souls of long-dead race, they want to kill everything (justified, when they were created, they were at war with everything). Carry high-tech weapons, can't be killed due to restoration and back-up protocols, but they're slower than the Imperial Guard.
-Orks - brutal barbaric race made for FIGHTIN' and WINNIN'. Huge in numbers (They reproduce by spores that are released after an ork's death), have huge muscule power, are powerful latent psychics, have some technical advances, but aren't very bright.
-Tau Empire - Authoritarian alien state with imperialistic policy, the rare faction that will accept other party's surrender (Has Gue'vesa Auxiliaries - humans that joined Tau). The weakest race in close combat (they use Kroot, yet another alien auxiliaries, 'cos tau themselves are even weaker than humans), but they have one of the best ranged weaponry.
-Exodite Eldar - mysterious manipulative space elves that are eager to sacrifice millions of others to save a single member of his own. Have fast vehicles and highly specialized (but overspecialized) infantry, but once stuff goes not as planned...
-Dark Eldar - sick sadistic brethen of the above, feed on others by torturing them. Very fast, very deadly, very fragile.
-Chaos - the power of Warp, the hyperspace of that universe that also happens to be the afterlife.
-Chaos Gods - four of them;
-Khorne - god of bloodshed and rage, furious berserker. Followers are usually close-combat oriented.
-Tzeentch - god of hope and change, basically Discord on steroids with more tricking and trolling. Followers favor ranged combat and psychic powers.
-Nurgle - god of despair and decay, the plaguemaster. Followers are damn tough.
-Slaanesh - god of excess and pleasure, the hedonist. Followers have fast reaction and take pain as the pleasure.-Chaos Daemons - Warp-dwelling creatures usually serving any of the big four.
-Chaos Space Marines - nuff said.
-The Lost and the Damned - Imperial Guard detachments that turned to Chaos or cultists, or something along these lines. -
I ban Ajay, because lool
Too many factions for me (i will need mounts to learn every sigle thing for the game if i start to play it)
Not my tipe of game, but still it's look interesting (and it's good for killling some time).
Now i'm gona go off. -
I ban NH 'cos, good luck

Also, in the faction listing, I still forgot two:
-Tyranids - Think Zerg and Nomads combined and turned Up To Eleven.
-Dark Mechanicus, subfaction of Chaos - Adeptus Mechanicus members that fell to Chaos. Mad Scientists all over. And that's not thinking about that Space Marines divide into chapters (Raven Guard or Salamanders for example), Chaos Space Marines into legions (Iron Warriors, Word Bearers, etc), Imperial Guard regiments vary with homeworlds (Valhallan Ice Warriors, Death Korps of Krieg, etc), Adepta Sororitas divided into convents, Eldar vary with craftworlds and Dark Eldar - with kabals, and so on.

I ban Ajay, because if you are not here i would even be in that threat anymore.
I don't know why but i get bored from everything (again).
