Starbound, Irradiated Koala latest version looks like quite some fun O.o
I ban Ajay cus, another spacey class of platformer game
-
WTFlak is platformer? Never heard about.
I ban Mike because I've found out couple of awesome bugs in C&C3KW "World Domination" mode:
When you have MCV, you can repelish your losses taken in this battle.
If you load your infantry into Epic Unit, these infantry units will be counted as lost, but your epic unit will have additional weaponry gained by loading infantry in the next battle. and moreover, you can load infantry into it again, mounting more additional weapons. Like, in one battle you put MRS and Saboteur into Nod Redeemer, and Redeemer survived the battle. In the next battle, you can take a Confessor Cabal/Militants/Awakened Squad and Black Hand Squad/Tiberium Troopers squad and put into Redeemer, it will keep repair module and missile launcher, but also gain machine gun and flamethrower/sprayer. -
I ban Ajay, because... heh, nice bug
-
I ban NH because it's a bit hard to exploit: if you repair the group (Including Nod "Reinforcements" support power), infantry will disappear from Redeemer/MARV/Eradicator. Units veterancy will also disappear (Imagine if you had three-ranked Redeemer, with self-repair and damage boost).
Also I found out another "easter egg" in C&C3. Juggernaut idle animation (Juggernaut is an artillery walker, looking like this:
which pilots seem to enjoy doing different stuff (like making the walker peck the ground with the guns or itch the cockpit with a leg) for lulz. And they say Noddies are crazy...) -
I ban Ajay, because
-
I ban NH because I haven't seen if any other walkers have idle animations, but Redeemer has couple, like twisting a nut in leg joint with a claw or rotating its top part. Nod Avatar and Scrin Annihilator are more boring (Avatar however is more awesome in combat - when upgraded with flame tank and beam cannon at least).
P.S. just returned my primary back to Inner Core. Took on two fights. Bonus points for:
1)"Ghost Division" starting in Jormdar during the fight with Dom'Nepesh
2)"Panzer Battalion" doing the same during the fight with Warrior in Methter
3)"Purple Heart" started when I docked Weth gates.
4)1 Nyses'o Blaster and two Kelyrd-ray Projectors are trophies. -
Seriously Ajay, did you even try to remember what a platformer game was like, you know, a game where you play on like, platforms, and you jump, move left /right on the screen, like Mario ?
There's another one, Darkout also space themed that looked great with it's survival feeling, post-apocalyptic too, and you could build your own stuff/homebases like this:
http://jpegshare.net/images/4f…48cafa1615bd4fdc06ee4.jpgBut StarBound actually has spaceships which fly between planets in solar systes in galaxies, which is a whole megaton of visitable planets simulating our real one, with the celestial ones like "Scorpio" "Saggitarius" and such.
-
I ban Mike because then I know one good platformer/TPS hybrid called Teeworlds.
It is a simple and small online game I used to play... I still play it in fact, on CTF mode.
P.S. Had one funny moment in C&C3KW. AI tried to spam me with Juggernauts artillery. I had Redeemer.
Couple of minutes and I mopped the floor with AI base with his own Juggernauts (Jugs leave the husk which can be captured and repaired) and Heroic Redeemer.
Moral? Never send your walker off without protection. Be it Juggernaut, Avatar, Purifier, Annihilator or Reaper. Always have someone to restore or destroy husk. Noddies always can make use of Vertigo's Disruption pods and Reckoner APC. -
I ban you cus, still with that 2.5D old game...
-
I ban Mike because old doesn't matters for me, I still play Battlefield Vietnam or Starcraft Broodwar.
-
How about old-new, old platformer, newly released StarBound
Or Darkout.
I ban you for not giving a flakk for other space-themed games...
-
I ban Mike for not noticing that Freelancer (and, by proxy, Starlancer), Starcraft and Supreme Commander are more like exceptions.
But if honestly, there's hard to find any order in my gaming tastes. MW3 is neighboring Battlefield Vietnam, Warcraft 3 is near C&C2 TS, etc
P.S. Twisted Insurrection is gonna make remixes on the new version's soundtrack! YES YES YES!
Really hope they will remix "Stripped Of Life" track, it's not like it needs remixing, but I'd like to see a new touch to it, making it even more menacing and bizarre:
Stripped Of Life is one of my favorites, along with Despair 2:
Anticipation:
Designing The Future:
Adrift:
Killing Fields:
Stalkers:
Visions:
And finally, Post War Melancholy:
BTW I find some of these a bit similar to that pony-themed dancing music, only these aren't pony-themed
But sill, nothing beats Stripped Of Life. NOTHING.
-
I ban you for comparing that old just a bit over 8 bits stuff, let's say 32 bits soundtrack, with actual music and other good stuff
-
I ban Mike because that's the point, even so-called "actual music and good stuff" can't chill or thrill better than seemingly 32bit Stripped Of Life. Rare of those can move better than Designing The Future, Killing Fields or Anticipation (one of such winners is "Discord", ESPECIALLY Tombstone's remix), relax better than Adrift or Post War Melancholy, etc.
Besides, it is even cooler in context. Nod Challenge in TI. You know there's gonna be attack on your base soon. You don't know where will it be or what will be attacking. You don't know if you survive this attack. Map is dark and sinister, it's a night and only lights are your base and the glow of tiberium field. And Stripped Of Life is a default track of this challenge.
Or when the same Stripped Of Life is on and you are playing on a very contaminated map. Knowing that TI has much more hostile tiberium lifeforms... who knows, WHAT can attack your base.
P.s. met ANybIS online today. Inner Core hunt ensued. -
I ban you for not trying to search that there are a lot of way better "music" not "soundtracks" out there than Stripped of life, even your armageddon ones from the past
-
I ban Mike because there are none like SoL. More epic? Yes (Two words: Fire. Storm). More awesome? Nothing tops Panzerkampf. Thrilling? Maybe. Sad? Yes, if Offspring's Gone Away, or Sabaton's Purple Heart (Or Angels Calling. Or The Price of a Mile. Or The Final Solution. Or The Hammer Has Fallen), or Luybe's "Davai Za" (If you'll manage to translate it, that is) won't make you shed manly tears, make sure you still have a heart.
But none are capable of moving, frightening and chilling at the same time like SoL can with its chaotic and crazy tune... wait, there is one, but is also soundtrack:
Less crazy than SoL, but much, much more menacing.
-
I ban you for how many flaks you gave to that topic, you nearly didn't stop yourself with those examples and thinking about them
-
I ban Mike for not knowing my modus operandi.
There are ALWAYS flaks for music. -
I ban you cus you don't notice how you should give more flaks for something that actually keeps you alive, yourself, body, air, food, money... not some soundtracks or music
Unless you make a living out of music, creating music for some sites then getting downloads, and money for everything else. But I doubt you give ENOUGH flaks for music to be a composer, do you ?
