    Yep.

My understanding of the rules are that once docked, a player may switch to any char and is not considered avoiding RP.

Example 1: A pirate is chasing a train for tax and the train is able to dock. The train pilot may switch to any char and continue play.

Example 2: A cop is chasing a train for bmg and the train is able to dock. The train pilot may switch to any char and continue play.

OP, is my understanding of this rule correct?

    Yes Burros Do Bite.

Yes, thx for informing me and that other guy ;)

about switching after you docked: sounds fair.

  • Here we go again, this has been going on for years and still nothing has been done.
Dont blame every one else for for the problems that a few guys are causing because thats whats happening, or thats what seems to be happening.
If people are breaking the rules then Ban them simple as that.
I think a posible way around this problem would be to stop players from seeing where other players are , if a trader cant see a pirate on his route then he won't run , this would stop players from useing F1 to there advantage.

  • no you just have to play the game - nothing more. Who is concerned about loosing some credits??? Hell you will get them back when you trade...

And for new york ;) Well hide in there somewhen you have to come out - muhahaha
and then you might wonder Oo

Gunny: I didn't mean to call you out, I did say other clans, sorry you took it the wrong way.

If you do transfers, but lose your stuff then I suggest doing it near a planet which is relatively safe, so that the mooring fixture can be used. New York doesn't really need to or have to be used ever.. I mean really this is an RP based server right? So it would make since there would be at least some risk.

Drakon: Perhaps that pilot should take extra care and if he/she did, well then its not their fault so much. I find most of the time I make a mistake it is 99% my fault at least. We humans have a problem with making models of reality and most of the time our models are false.

hmm sorry almost lost myself there lol *steps away slowly and works on project*

oh and I fully agree, just play the game.. (edit)

I am Death, Direction, Destruction, Defiance.... *static and then loss of signal*

Only dead fish swim with the stream.
Don't discuss with idiots. They only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience there.

    This is ten percent luck,
    Twenty percent skill,
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
    Five percent pleasure,
    Fifty percent pain,
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name!

  • i know this topic is basically over and resolved but i would like to add one small point.

i travel through NY all the time but for one reason. i see a lot of new players flying all over NY and i try to find them (not for RP) but to ask them if they need help or if they are having any issues.

I find that when we (experienced or high level players) seek out new players, it makes them feel more a part of our community. I go out of my way to travel through NY for this sole purpose.

As for trading or transfers, i do agree with everyone's comments here and i will only make transfers to new players or new clan members while in NY and do all other business outside NY. I believe this is a fair way of doing business and maintaining the spirit of the rules we have.
