Hello everyone,
I just returned to Crossfire (open singleplayer) as I could not get on multiplayer.
I log on, get in my ship, even made it to space one time, and than my game crashes!
And I hate that!
Anybody got some clues ?
Pleeease HELP !

Where are you docked, what ship are you in, 3d sound off? That info might help to help you.

Starting multiplayer in NY , basic ship, yes 3D sound is off.
And by the way, I can't play other modes, when I start any other mod CF starts.

delete old and other save games may help...

You can also install CCleaner and clean up your registry files^^

I did a fresh install, and still I get an error message [E5]
First start it updated then launcher and the second time this:What now ?

I got that too a couple of times... when i restart my PC, it got fixed^^

here is a list of error codes:
Display MoreCode- Crossfire Update not found ... only Singleplayer available [E1] --> connection problem to update-server (firewall configuration ok?)
- Crossfire Update not found ... only Singleplayer available [E2] --> trouble with downloading files from update-server (or no right to write into freelancer path)
- Crossfire Update not found ... only Singleplayer available [E3] --> trouble with certain Windows versions (install the CF patch)
- Crossfire Update not found ... only Singleplayer available [E4] --> trouble while downloading files from update-server (or no right to write into freelancer path)

so in ur case: do u start as administrator or do u have permission to write into freelancer path or did u remove all read only attributes from the files in ur freelancer path?

therefore you have to deactivate the 3d sound!

hm weird... seems something is still not proper on your side...
does the error only occur when you jump from one system to another or even somewhen if you are in space?I found this here:

I would try a fresh install, like proposed here -
there was a couple of CTD's (crash to desktop) incidents late last night, with many ppl kicked at the same time. Belive it happened when a BS was killed by a certain type of weapon (persumably bugged ADV delibartor)
