    yup, nationalism is solving an awful lot of problems all around the world...

    Its a nice thought but unfotunatly not one i see happening seeing as most of the companies extracting the Oil around scotland are based in London .. US and Canada.... and as we have seen in the not so distant past if those people want the oil they stop at nothing to get it... sad but true .... Unfotunatly Scotland has been shit on to many times as history shows and it still happens today ... way to many greedy people with way to much power.

    talkin' about oil... i'd like to ask to you if you know that we know discovered a giant oil reserve underwaters... this way we'll be turning into one of the most powerful oil reserves in Earth... and now, and only now, they'll build a brazilian nuclear submarine. so, let's say a war happens. we're fucked. the amazon and the oil reserves won't be defended... our armed forces are the biggest in latin america, but only in number of ppl. now, if you think about the weapons, fighters and other things... damn...

    Yes slayer the uk government sold the rights to the oil to private companies,but the oil is in scottish or if u like uk waters and has raised 40 billion pounds sterling(not us billions) through taxation since its discovery,and if it had not been used by the UK for nuclear weapons,illegal wars etc, then our 4.5 million ppl wouild enjoy many more benfits than we do being part of the morally corrupt US wannabees the UK. Scotland has the distinction of being the only country in the western world in which oil was discovered(and a vast amont)which didnt get any richer and who's people didnt benift!

    here we don't get any benefit from the oil too, although the state has control of it (Petrobrás)...


    so, more or less we're in the same situation (lookin' for one side...)
