We are looking for new members constantly and we will make it worth while, always chance for promotion for those that show they are dedicated and enthusiastic. various jobs roles available, no good at PvP The Clan always needs to make money sign up to the Trading dept, enjoy fighting join the Alpha squad in their missions to hunt down those bountys, prefer to defend transports and bases join the DPSD (Dark Phoenix Security Dept).

Dark Phoenix Requires all kinds of pilots, new old, experienced both in combat and stealth.

If DP are so cool, you are not need a advertising-ppl staying on server and looks around. Every clan have a same right to recruit newbies, not only you!:D

doesnt every clanleader want to their clan to grow?
doesnt almost every leader want to get more attention to their clan?
doesnt every clan use their own way to advertise and publish, just to get more members as well?

so let phoenix post whatever they think to have to post, to recruit members.

almost everyone who is leading a clan (or their ordered helpers) is doing the same, as long they need/want more members in there.

i think agressive advertisement is better then no advertisement ..

even i will never join a clan.

I fail to see where the initial post required such a response to start with. About a year ago, all clans were running recruiting campaigns here on the forum and there wasn't an issue.

I am personally joyed that Phoenix is trying to be a LEADER here and in the server, instead of a catalyst.

With all due respect, OP, your advertising skills lack the basic knowledge. Here's a little guide to successful advertising:

1. get graphic. Most people are too lazy to read, or just illiterate. Therefore, pics is what you need to get your message across.
2. Promise your customers everything they ever dreamed of. No worries, once they realize they wont get it, they'll probably have already forgotten you promised them heaven on earth and then some. In the unlikely event that they actually WANT everything, have a couple of lawyers threaten them. Or send some thugs to take care of the problem.
3. Most important: Altough it's kinda sad, it is also true that SEX SELLS. Just take a picture of a scarcely clad babe, and your sells will soar. NO MATTER WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO SELL!!! Or, as is the case with your non-recruiting-ad, what you're trying not to sell.

Here's an example how a non-recruiting ad could look like:

Oh i see recruitment has changed alot... last time i did recruitment it looked like this

OP: "hey want to be uber cool member of a uber cool clan and kick ass?"
noob: "clan... what?... you know that the game is called Freelancer?"
OP: "errrm yes... fortunatly microsoft wrote that on the CD"
noob: "haha very funny"
*silence*
noob: "what does a clan do?"
OP: "exactly the same that freelancers do and a bit more"
noob: "then why in gods name should i join your clan"
OP: "because the 'bit more' gained your interest"
....

(if you think this is a fairy tale.... no it isnt... thats how recruitment was in the early days of FL.... and one of these smart guys which told me that the game is called "freelancer" later ended up as BG coleader)
