finally arrived in altair space following up mission info. spent 2 whole days exploring a few systems looking for wrecks etc. its annoying to search a system that takes over 20 mins to cross. more than that its BORING.
you meet DK and nomads. when you beat them they drop a few tokens. need nanobots & shields. why do they drop no waepons. i want a gun that can take down a class 10 shield in one blast. (wheres the champion level 10 shield)?you get killed and sent back to the last base all items lost. and three boring travers ing systems away. thats frustrating but okay part of a game. but the vast distances just make the experience tedious. makes me question if i want to continue.
clan system is complex. can,t download a list as the link to pdf appears broken.
visit clan portal & amm assaulted by recruitment info not the basic information i need. I have spent a lot of time in the last 2 weeks on crossfire. more than i should. I have met some nice helpful characters and made progress. but then why do i feel so frustrated and outclassed everywhere.

One of the thing that CF prides itself on are the community of player. We are a very helpful bunch and are more than happy to give out hints and clues. We will even give you the exact answer to questions if required, though we generally prefer to point you in the right direction so not to take all the fun out of exploring the Mod.
Information is generally shared in game and not posted on this forum for all to find. So get in touch with any of the players who are online and you will very quickly find you have all the info you need.
You are right about the clan system info, it is quite tricky to remember which clan is in which system when you are new to the game. The real give away is that within each clan system there is a marker by the gate that displays the clan logo. Another place to find a list of clan systems is on the launcher. While it downloads and updates the files it displays various info. At the top, you will see yellow writing scrolling across that lists all the clan and their systems. Other than that you can simply check with any of the clan tagged players before you enter a new system ('Hey m8, is XXXX a clan system?').
The only guns that kill shields in one shot are owned by the Server Police. Crossfire is a carefully balanced game and such uber weapons do not keep things balanced so you will not find them here!
Good luck with the game, sorry you are finding it frustrating but ask for some help and you will get it and your frustrations should be ended (or at least reduced)

Or you could try mounting 6 Tizona's and see what happens. That might take a shield, but then you'd be plinking away doing absolutely nothing to the hull.
