well some might already have wondered why there are no updates or screenshots for CF1.8 lately
to be honest the stupid discussions about RP and alot of the argueing here on the forum demotivated me somewhat and considering that this is the final week that this community had to finish the tasks that i have given i simply decided to take a small break and watch the show instead
but still some development was done since i dont like to sit around bored
most important for you should be the current state of development and since CF1.8 is going to be extremly big (considering its content and changes) the development will simply take alot of time
the work on the new system graphics and on a big part of the new effects has been done
more than 50 new starspheres have been created
blaster is currently working on a new set of custom suns (somewhat 20) based on my templates
3 new ships have been completly finished
another 80 ships and solar objects are currently in development (about 50 of them have been modeled, textured and exported to freelancer models, the other 30 still need to be aligned and exported)
about 20 ships already have surface model which only need to be exported in order to work
another 20-30 ships are going to be converted to FL soon
there are about 6-9 new cockpits (finished)
2 of the coalition ships have been finished (there was a delay coz of a misunderstand and the fact that 50% of the textures are missing)
other coalition ships should be finished very soon (since now the work can make some process)
the work on the new infocards also seem to be running well
the graphical changes on the menu screen and the launch screen are finally finished
20 new weapon models have been created
the work on the clanlogos almost has been finshed
dynamic light effects have been included into FL (objects such as ships or stations or asteroids are going to be illumnated by lights such as gunfire)
the rules in new york have been made changed in order to be more transparent but still visible
they wont disappear anymore when they are at the edge of the screen
the visibiliy of the hyperspace has been improved (no jumping textures anymore and no red lines on the textures)
the 3.0 shader will be integrated next week (ok... that was a joke)
one big problem that i can see atm is the size... a was somewhat shocked seeing that when i zipped the mod it had 340mb already
so im going to compress some stuff in the next few days
