Bioshock?

    Anyone had this one yet?


    Apparently its a spirtiual successor to the Looking Glass Technology experience - they did the Ultima Underworlds and System Shocks and the Thiefs.


    All I want to know - is it as good as any of these?


    Can someone post a short review of it?

    only tried the demo which is short considering the download size of 2gig
    I have'nt played more than a few hrs of any FPS like farcry splintercell or commando games since I got the Freelancer demo when that came out so I am a little out of practice at peeping round corners, crawling through tunnels /rubble/swamps, getting upclose and intimate with the enemy, give me the wide open spaces of the star lanes. Anyway it seemed to be a reasonable game interesting play grafix good. I got on reasonably well with the demo levels only spawned 3 times but considering the amount of time since I played anything like this a bit too easy hopefully the game evolves to something in the later levels. See thats my problem levels; do this, do that, find the other, kill destroy, move up, etc... they're not really my cup of tea, at least not on foot.


    all I can say is its on my list to buy soon but probably for Xbox :)

    I see Amazon are doing both Bioshock and Stalker for about £35.00 so I may take a look.

    I play this game too
    but whan i start the game on my last savepoint my PC crashed up!
    Anyone know what i can to??
    (I have a Nvidia 7300LE Grafik card, is that the prob)

    I posted this at TLR but thought you all should know before you waste your money on Bioshock.


    BioShock uses SecureRom piracy prevention technology. This is a protection scheme that forces that player to not only have the DVD-ROM in the drive in order to play, but also to transmit an activation code over the Internet in order to play the game. There was a short period right after release when the verification servers went down, leaving gamers with legitimate copies of the game unable to activate it. The game also came with a two-install limit on each serial code, which places a cap on how many times gamers with legitimate copies can install the game. Even worse, the uninstall program does not reactivate the owner's code on the servers; for that, owners will have to download a "revocation application" that will reset their serial code in order to uninstall and re-install. Do not try calling the customer service number in the game's manual, either. Thanks to a misprint, the wrong number was put in.


    Until they fix everything that is wrong with this, I say boycott this game or be forced into accepting this kind of garbage in more games in the future.

    Im playing the xbox version and it is a really nice game for people who are into scifi terrror of the mid 50s to 60s :D Anyway, I do like it, Im half way thorugh (I think)
